Lorp Gribs 🎨

Quick one, I feel really frustrated with it again but I’m posting it anyway! I feel kind of out of practice with art so everyone is coming out a little funky right now haha #sketch #ink #inking #inktober #gristober #ramen #art #bowl #drawing #artist

Working on this painting was the first time I ever documented the full process of a painting from start to finish. Looking back on it, it’s amazing to see where it started and where it ended. Making art can be really hard, not just in terms of technical skill but in terms of mental fortitude, it’s something I’ve been talking to a lot of artists about lately. Creating doesn’t end up being this beautiful, relaxing, freeing time, instead it’s often a huge mental battle. You’re constantly berating yourself when things aren’t going right, debating giving up, contemplating throwing the piece in the trash, you’ve ruined it, you’re a failure, you’ll never be as good as the people you admire so why try? I spent a lot of time working on this painting saying those exact things to myself. It wasn’t even until the very end that I even started to feel ok about the painting, but having this image of the first layer to look back on helped give me perspective that it really did come a long way. And hey maybe it’s not too terrible after all? As artists we can really tunnel vision in on our own work and see every blemish and flaw and every way that it didn’t come out exactly as we intended that we can fail to see how it really looks. I think it’s important to know that you’re not alone in this, it doesn’t make you less of an artist to experience these feelings, most all artists experience it. You don’t suddenly become a professional and all self doubt washes away, it will always be there. Your ability to work despite it, to be strong and push that negative voice away, tell it that it’s wrong, you can create, you aren’t failing, all art looks like an absolute mess when it’s in process, it’s normal, is ultimately the key to your growth and success as a creator. It’s also so important to realize that the way you see your art and the way others see your art aren’t the same. If you’ve been staring at something for 20 hours of course you’re going to know it’s every imperfection, you can have dysmorphia about your own art. Others will look at your art and see nothing but beauty and sometimes you need to let them be your eyes. Keep creating even when it’s hard it’s so important ❤️

Ok I colored it! Don’t worry it’s just a digital overlay (for everyone worried I was going to mess up the original graphite). I hate the color red, you’ll notice I almost never use it, but for some reason it just felt right here, so this is an extremely rare red dominated piece from me. And now that she’s colored she’s a perfect #feemon. Congrats @feefal for hitting 666K followers! I’m so happy to have been around since you were just a wee baby account, your art just continues to get better and better and I always look forward to seeing it on my feed. Here’s to more demon babes in the future! #demon #oni #procreate #kawaii #anime #dibujo #hands #creepy #fashion #portland #oregon

Ok everyone! I’m a little late but here’s the GRISTOBER prompt list, I got really wrapped up in designing froggy pins and fell behind on this one. To clarify the first prompt is supposed to be biblically accurate angel but I couldn’t fit the whole text. Hopefully people know what I mean by that. This is just a loose prompt list for you to use but there are no rules, I usually do all my work in black and white ink style but feel free to use any medium and do colors etc! I snuck frog in there as the final day so I’m really excited to see what people make for that day. Feel free to tag me in your posts since hashtags don’t work the same as before also. Happy drawing guys! #inktober #gristober #inktober2023 #drawing #spooky

Tiger hood! 🐅 I’ve been trying for years to do some kind of toothy animal mouth helmet, for some reason I could never get the concept quite right with wolf or bear but tiger finally worked out and I’m so happy 🥲 #sketch #drawing #art #tiger #helmet #mecha #anime #otaku #kawaii

Hey guys! It’s been ages since I’ve hosted one of these. I’ve been in a funk lately and I’ve really missed just interacting with the art community in general so I’m doing a draw this in your style challenge, here’s how it works: 1.) Recreate this art somehow, all mediums are welcome, and feel free to get creative, you can give her a full body change the expression gender bend, do whatever you like as long as it’s the same character vibe. 2.) Post your art to the hashtag #daisyredraw. (Also tag me in it since hashtags are being weird now) I’ll be sharing my favorites to my story and also giving away some sticker packs to people randomly selected at the end so there’s rewards even if you’re not the best at art. 3.) The deadline will be in one month, august 29th so you have some time to work on your piece. Have fun and enjoy interacting with your art peers, be uplifting and encouraging to everyone interacting and I can’t wait to see all the cool things you guys make! #dtiys #drawthisinyourstyle #grisredraw #anime #daisy #kawaii #green #manga

Hello everyone! My shop is officially open to the public with all the new items like cross body bags, sketchbooks, blankets and these make up palettes. I showed these off in my stories but never on my main page yet. They really came out beautiful, I couldn’t be happier with them, they have a lovely holographic sheen on the text and the interior that doesn’t show up in photos but it’s gorgeous, and of course all of the make up is cruelty free. The blankets will only be available for pre order for one week and I won’t be selling them otherwise :) There’s also some originals still available to peruse and all the usual prints and stickers and enamel pins so happy shopping everyone! #shop #sale #make up #palettes
