Alderney festival 2021 What a week of ups and downs, it was a very slow start due to bad weather and heavy rain, it was a complete right off and the fishing was very hard. I woke up half way through the week weighing in my first 2 fish to make the board in the space of 30minutes with two PB’s a Pollock of 5.3.14lbs taking top spot only to be knocked down to second place by Derek Kane and finishing the week in 2nd place a PB conger of 24.6lbs taking top spot and winning the conger category and taking home the trophy and finally a dog fish of 2.2.2lbs taking 2nd place. Want to say a massive congratulations to my team “Hook line and sinkers” weighing in a total of 13 fish and 10 counting towards the team, Brian Williams with 2 fish Connor Morley with 2 fish Leigh Mullins with 3 fish and myself with 3 fish with a total percentage of 498% which saw the red Army marching on to win the best team of 2021 Now on to the individual I managed a total of 159% finishing 3rd overall just in front of Leigh Mullins by 6points giving me the bragging right of being the Top Jersey Angler of the 2021 festival 😂😂 Jersey taking home the nations trophy with a percentage 1213% for the first time 🏆 Lastly I would like to thank all involved for putting the time and effort in to make this competition happen.! It was great to catch up with everyone. Until next year tight lines. 🎣🐟🎣🐟
