One more portrait of Daamini Aama from Laprak, Gorkha. Here she poses with her husband Maite Ghale. He was so shy to take a photo but couldn't resist his wife's request to have one picture together. #nepalsmilesagain #facesofnepal #barpak #nepalphotobook #photostories #laprak #storiesofnepal #nepalgram #nepalnow #thenepalnow

A conflict affected woman from Accham sharing her stories about her suffering in the past. Last month I was traveling to far-west Nepal to collect the stories on an assignment for Nagarik Aawaz (@nagarik_aawaz), a peacebuilding organization based in Lalitpur, Nepal. CEO of Nagarik Aawaz Ms. Susan Risal writes "Last week Nepal marked 12th anniversary of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, which formally ended the decade-long armed struggle launched by then Maoist rebels. The 1996-2006 civil war claimed nearly 16,000 lives and displaced around 1,300 people. The last 12 years, however, have gone without tangible progress when it comes to delivering justice to conflict victims. The plight of conflict-affected still remains the same. There is very limited space for women where they can openly share their sufferings. Nor has there been any substantial work to address the multiple needs of conflict-affected women. State have completely failed to address the need of tortured and sexually victimized women". Follow @nagarik_aawaz for its work with youth and women in strengthening community peacebuilding in Nepal. ------------------------------------------------------------------ #nepalsmilesagain #facesofnepal #nepalphotobook #nepalnow #thenepalnow #storiesofnepal #nepalgram #lensculture #photostories #justpeace #act4peace

Little break from Nepal Smiles Again series. Something scary 😉 Saw this man in a street in Kathmandu. He looked so high and lost. Just loved the expression. #nepalsmilesagain

A wonderful sky after a heavy raimfall. The reflection on my rooftop with the waters was perfect. My home has become my photography universe since Lockdown :) ..............................................................................

Tried capturing the thunderstorm for the first time :)

The lockdown has been a pefect opportunity to explore the ways I can take photograph staying indoor. As the moon is stunning for few days, I took out my abandoned old camera and a zoom lens to try shooting the moon 🎑. Well the shot is not perfect as the lens was full of dust and stays out of focus a lot of times but atleast I got something out of it :) --------- #covi̇d19 #covi̇d_19 #globalpandemic #fullmoon #everydaystory #nepalphotobook #nepalnow #storiesofnepal
