faith, a healthy marriage + children at peace✨ i fought to find faith after overcoming cultural influences + internal struggles. i never witnessed a healthy marriage growing up. i wasn’t a child at peace. through prayer, i overcame the struggles, found a practicing + God fearing man, + were raising children at peace, in a safe home. everything we prayed for once, we’ll be tested with. everything we consider a blessing, can flip + pull us away from the One who blessed us with it. it’s so easy to forget. it’s so easy to take every grand blessing + minimize their value. it’s so easy to get caught up in the rat race + only want more without ever truly, sincerely being grateful for what we’ve been given 🤍 Alhamduillah, always. in all ways. we’re the nation of Prophet ﷺ everything they’re doing is a spiritual//psychological warfare, heightened during ramadan. they want to weaken our iman, they want to distract us from our worship, they want to place fear within us because that’ll make us their slaves. their commitment to their demonic agenda is strong, even while shaytaan is locked away, his minions continue to wreck havoc on nations. instead of scrolling, arguing with our brothers/sisters in islam, mindlessly wasting precious hours, INTENSIFY YOUR IBADAH!!! read the stories of the prophets, gain wisdom of what they had to endure. listen to lectures about the Mehdi, or dajjal, how to protect yourself. once upon a time, speaking like this would’ve categorized us as a bit crazy or extreme, but look at the world, the signs are everywhere. we don’t believe in fear, we’re empowered because we’re the nation of Prophet ﷺ now we must practice, act like it 🤍 may Allah swt protect afghans, iranians, gazans, pakistani, iraqi, syrian + lebanese against the evil doers. "But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners." from saved, to served ep3✨ramadan talbina for suhoor 🤍 the prophet ﷺ said: “talbina soothes the heart of the sick + relieves some of the sorrow.” (bukhari & muslim) a simple sunnah, made with intention heals + nourishes more than we realize. ingredients for two people: 4 tbsp barley flour (or finely ground barley) 2 cup milk (or 1 1/2 cup milk + 1/2 cup water) 1 date, chopped added or placed on top (like mine) @ndmedjooldates 🤎 2 tsp honey pinch of sea salt toppings: walnuts (or almonds/pistachios) extra honey drizzle directions: whisk barley flour with a little milk until smooth. add remaining milk + cook on low, stirring constantly for 5–7 minutes until thick + creamy. stir in the chopped date, honey, and a pinch of salt. top with walnuts and a little extra honey. simple. filling. + a small way to bring barakah into suhoor or have it as a part of your iftar! sometimes the most blessed meals are the simplest ones. have you ever had talbina?? #ramadan2026 #ramadanrecipes #suhoor

ramadan jummah vlog ✨ jummah mubarakah! there’s only 4 fridays in this Holy month, may we make the most out of it even if we’re excused from fasting/prayer 🤍 “and upon those who are ill or on a journey, a number of other days.” (2:184). scholars explain that menstruation is treated like a temporary physical condition (similar to illness), which is why women make up the fasts later. this pause is mercy, not distance. alhamduillah for our beautiful deen. even when we pause, we’re still part of the ramadan journey. here’s 5 things i’m doing to stay connected: 1. setting a 1k or 5k goal for istighfar 2. listening, reading + reflecting on the qur’an/meanings 3. preparing iftar for loved ones as an act of worship 4. sending blessings on the prophet (pbuh) 5. listening to lectures from @yaqeeninstitute @drhaifaayounis @rootsdfw our hearts remain devoted, no matter the circumstance. as a mama of four, i know it’s so difficult to get to do everything we want to in ramadan but even the simple act of loving on our little ones is considered an act of worship. when everything we do is with the intention to please Allah swt, its an act of worship. may we be rewarded for it all. how’s your first week of fasting or excused been?? #ramadan #ramadanvlog #ramadanseries

from saved to served ✨ ep 2 one pot afghan chicken dampukht (dream cooker//pressure cooker version) 🤍 this afghan comfort food is our go-to!! as a family of six, when i find a dish EVERYONE loves, believe it’ll be on repeat. that’s this afghan chicken + potatoes damphukt (you can add most vegetables to this, my kids love it only with potatoes so that’s what mama used) tender chicken, soft potatoes, + fluffy basmati rice all cooked together in one pot 🙌🏽 serves 4–6 ingredients: 6 chicken legs 2–3 medium potatoes, peeled + cut into large chunks *i used whole baby potatoes* 2 medium onions, thinly sliced 5 cloves garlic, crushed//minced 1/3 cup oil or ghee 2 cups basmati rice (rinsed + soaked 20–30 minutes) *soak for extra fluff/long grains* 2.5 cups water OR chicken broth *use the pinky finger trick, ask if you don’t know* spices: 1.5 tsp salt (adjust to taste) 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp coriander 1 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp turmeric 1 tsp paprika powder optional: 3–4 cardamom pods, 1 bay leaf, small cinnamon stick optional topping: raisins + julienned carrots sautéed in a little oil method: 1. sauté set dream cooker to sauté. add oil and onions and cook until lightly golden (or add frozen pre-made onions that’s what i’ve done). add garlic and whole spices (if using). add chicken, potatoes, salt, and ground spices. pour in 1/3 cup water. cancel sauté. 2. pressure cook (first cook) seal lid and pressure cook on high for 8 minutes. quick release. 3. add rice drain soaked rice and spread evenly over the chicken and potatoes (do not stir). pour 2.5 cups water over the rice. the water should taste slightly salty. 4. final cook (the dam) seal lid and pressure cook on low for 4 minutes. natural release for 10 minutes, then release remaining pressure. 5. rest + serve let sit covered for 5 minutes, then gently fluff and serve. optional: top with sautéed carrots and raisins, fresh cilantro, or a squeeze of lemon. soft, fragrant, + made for sharing. we serve it with yogurt (ofc) afghan salad + chutney. #ramadanfood #afghanfoods #pressurecookerrecipes #onepotmeal
