Officially 31 today. A lot have changed since these couple of years in terms of my life, career and goals. This time onwards will determine whether I could finally find my true happiness or it will be just a dream for me. Putting my goals into action is the main thing that I need to sort out right now. ..2/2(continued from previous post) Now that I am in control in my life, there is only one person to be blamed if I ever fail in life and that is MYSELF. So I walked out, get back home and the clock now start ticking for me to plan out what I am going to do with my life after this. 1 May 2017 - Now it has been 7 months since I quit my job. And I am here still finding my own path. The path is still blurry but nonetheless I am the one who get to choose it. It has been life full of struggles and difficulties, both financially and mentally. However, I will not give up and will strive more to find the path that I want to walk into for the rest of my life. You yourself is the one who can change your own life, no one else will. Whether I am going to fail or being successful, both will be great experience and learning curve for me to get through the obstacles. Always believe in yourself and never blame anyone else or complain if something that cannot be achieved; Failures always come from your own actions (or mostly non-actions). Don’t care about what others will say about you, you are the one who is living your own life. So, pray for me. The journey is just about to begin. Yours truly, AS

DISCLAIMER: I have been on a hiatus for 7 months now. So here comes a long post. 1 Oct 2017 - The day I took the plunge to the unknown. I officially quit my job for good 7 months ago to pursue what i have been longing to do; to be in control of my own life. During my 5 years and 10 months in corporations, i realized that most of my life have been controlled by them and I always end up mentally and physically exhausted. The feelings of attachment to a corporation makes me sick and I was always trying to find myself out but I did not have the courage to do so. I quit my engineering job in 2016; which I thought was not my passion. I switched to a business/corporate job in late 2016, in the thought that I need to quit engineering and work in an office job which may eventually give me the job satisfaction that I need. But after a year in the job, I still find that something is missing; I enjoy the more free time that I get compare to working in engineering but I still end up getting mentally exhausted since I am still not in control of my time and life. No money can be traded for your time and your life, so yeah. Rather than contemplating for even more years, since I was already 29 and still not finding anything to pursue for my life, I finally decided to just quit my job and make the big leap to the other side of the unknown (without anything in plan). This time there will be no excuse for me (I was scared to let go of my stable income; Afraid of the struggles that going to come to me later). So after a long thought and discussion with my family, I finally gave a month notice to my boss and never looked back (my boss was asking me to think and stay on for few months; Btw I was fortunate to have a very kind and good superior in my previous jobs; they were very supportive throughout my career). Then finally the D-Day came and after completing all docs, cleaning my desk, saying goodbyes to few colleagues and some final photos, I come out from the gate, with mixed feelings (mostly anxiety; I don’t know what will happen for the next chapter in my life) but finally I feel relieved that I got to make the decision that I will not be regretting.
