SLAAAAYYYYYY AFRICA Amharech Artspace is delighted to present the very exclusive work of the visual artist : ◾️Amine Tajjedine aka TAJ◾️ « Slay Africa » Opening exhibition June 9th 2022 “This series of paintings is a first encounter, like a date, with me or rather with my unconscious. It is in this way and through this language that I know best how to express myself and tell my story. In each painting, I present myself to you, stripped of all the tinsel of appearances. An exposure of my strength as well as my fragility, my fears and my desires, my crushes and my traumas. All these things that are useful and futile to me and that make me the artist that I am. Africa, naturally imposed itself on me, because I chose to be African by personal commitment and not as a innate evidence in a territory plagued by great identity confusion. The Maasai have always impressed me with their charisma, their strength, courage, resilience, confidence...
