My baby boy & love of my life, My heart is so broken. I can’t even believe my baby is gone and the thought of waking up without you makes me never want to fall asleep: I hope that you know how much daddy and I love you. You have been my protector, companion, and support system the past 5 years who has been beside me through some of my darkest times. How is mommy going to push forward without her rock beside her? Who’s going to check on mommy when she’s sad, and lick away her tears? Who’s going to love me and daddy so unconditionally? I wasn’t prepared to say goodbye so soon, it still doesn’t even seem real that you’re gone. The room feels so empty without you in it part of me still expects to hear the sound of your nails on the tile trying to sneak into bed with us while we’re asleep. I asked grandpa to take care of you until daddy and I get there. He is going to take you on the best adventures, and tell you all kinds of stories. Be strong for him, and give him a big kiss for mommy. Be free my bestest baby boy. I’ve written and deleted this post so many times because I know the moment I post it, there’s no going back. I just can’t imagine a world without you in it Papa. I’m trying to be strong but it’s so hard to lose someone you love as much I love you. I tried preparing myself for the inevitable, but there is nothing in the world that can prepare you for a loss of this magnitude. My grandpa spent his whole life striving to give us all a better life. Nothing was more important to him than family and bringing everyone together. He was always my hero, who loved all of his princesses and taught us what it means to love unconditionally, forgive one another, and to never settle for less than the best in life and what you give and receive from others. I love you from the bottom of my heart, and thank you and grandma for all you did to raise me to be the woman I am today. I promise to keep your spirit and memory alive with all of the stories we tell the next generation, and love and joy we share with each other. On Sunday our grandpa had a seizure and collapsed, hitting his head and neck causing his spinal cord to be compressed, leading him to be air lifted to the emergency room. He is currently on a breathing machine, the doctors are trying to help him strengthen his breathing and we are hopeful he is able to do it on his own. It saddens me that even through tragedy, we are still facing obstacles within the family, and forced to go through hoops to get the medical status of my grandfather. It is hard to continuously turn a blind eye, and go high when others go low, but for the sake of my grandpa, I beg of everyone to stop with the nonsense. All we have ever wanted for my grandpa was to be happy, because he deserves to live a happy life, even If it was at the expense of us being able to be with him regularly. We are nothing but grateful for uncle Chris and his family for loving his brother so much and being the comfort and familiarity he’s needed. I know this is just as painful for you all as it is for us but we love you all and thank you for all you’ve done for our papa. We endured 10 years of him being taken from us all. We endured countless hospital trips. We endured loving and supporting him through his dementia, and at this moment of sadness, we are still here and we are not prepared to give up now. We all love him, we are all hurting, and wether we agree or not, It is up to us all to work with one another to make the most of the time we have left with him. Please, if you don’t have anything nice or productive to say, keep it to yourself.

I just wanted to congratulate my sister and her fiancé on getting engaged yesterday. I wish we didn’t have to end it off with the experience we had, but nothing should take away from this special moment in your lives and I am so happy to have been able to be apart of it. You both are so deserving of the love and happiness that you share with one another and I cannot wait for the wedding!! When I think of you, I always think about how we started. From the first picture I have of you, to the first picture I took with you, to the first bday I celebrated with you, to the first road trip I went on with you, to our first amusement park trip, to our first apartment, to our first anniversary, to our first solo trip, to our first fur baby, to our first night ice skating….and so much more. After 5 years I’ve been able to share so many “firsts” with you. I’ve been able to see your growth as a man, as a son, and as a partner. I’ve been able to see the positive changes I have made in my life and how far I’ve come from who I use to be because of us. We are 5 years deep, and we still wake up everyday choosing each other. I’ve never had someone love me the way you do, and after 5 years I still can’t get enough of you.
