Part 2. The girl on the right is done with the black @m.grahamco watercolor and you can see the huge difference in color intensity between the black gouache (girl on the left) and black watercolor. Of course I could intensify the watercolor, but still I wouldn’t be able to achieve the intensity of the gouache. So I would recommend to get both! Gouache vs Watercolor (Part 1). Comparing the 2 mediums from @m.grahamco side to side. You can see me blending watercolor and gouache on hair (surprisingly they blend perfectly!) and using the black gouache on the remaining accessories. Gouache is very opaque, but still has very smooth texture. I could create gradients and make some grey colors as well. I think it is an amazing alternative to ink. And if you want to blend it with watercolor - then even better. Part 2 is coming soon, so you can compare the color intensity from gouache and watercolor side to side! I was lucky enough to test the @cansonusa mixed media sketchbook (previous #reel ) and I can fully recommend it. The color doesn’t bleed through, the paper is textured enough for the watercolor and granulation, but it was still a pleasure to use a pencil for the sketches. Color also doesn’t fade (in another sketchbooks it may be the problem. If you know, you know😏). So overall I can highly recommend this sketchbook!
