My lovely art book! 152 pages of my work, with a gold foil cover✨ My publishers over at @3dtotal donate 50% of all their profits to charitable causes, with their main focus on finding sustainable solutions to climate change. They also plant a tree for every book sold🌱 very happy to work with them~ and I think my book absolutely rocks so you should definitely get one!! Like yeah I’m biased but this thing is GOOD!!

FUNGUARY IS HAPPENING AGAIN!!! February is right around the corner, which means it’s soon time for Funguary 2024! the drawing event where we draw a bunch of mushroom based characters during the month of feb. This will be our third year of Funguary, and this time it’s a leap year! Here’s how it works: Each week of the month will have a theme with seven different prompts, draw a mushroom character within that theme in order to join. The themes are Celestial, Demonic, Edible and Cryptic. Each week of February is a new theme. You don’t have to complete all the prompts, just one mushroom per theme/week is plenty! If you’re hardcore you can definitely try and finish all the prompts though ;). The challenge intensity is adjustable to what suits you. This is a chill event where the goal is to just have fun and vibe, and honor the fungi kingdom with some really cool art🍄 I invite you all to come draw mushrooms with me! Use the hashtag #Funguary and #funguary2024 when posting your creations. I’ll be posting some of the creations here, and I’ll also be hanging out in the hashtag and comment sections! Really hope y’all join and draw fungi with me🥰🍄🌿 See you all on the first of February, LETS GOOOO!!

Diagrams of the Plant cell, animal cell, and fungal cell!! The main girlies of the eukaryotic cell gang, and we love women in STEM✨ Which one do you choose as your fighter? Each cell have their own system of organelles that keep them going, which I’ve tried to translate into human anatomy to the best of my abilities. The nucleus acts as the brain, vacuole as the lungs, the mitochondria as the heart… It’s been a challenging but extremely educational project, I had to study so much to make these even remotely accurate🙈 I didn’t know anything about biology prior to this, because I was a horrible student. The only thing that motivates me to learn anything is cute art..!! I’ll do anything for a creative character concept.

Astre Volume 01, a stunning new art magazine that I’m featured in is now up for preorder on Kickstarter (link in bio)! Priced £10 during the campaign🐸✨ It’s 100 pages filled with ART!! Amazing art by wonderful artists. Each copy will be numbered and feature multiple paper types and techniques and finishes, like foil, cut-outs, embossing, add-ons… basically anything you can do with paper that fits in a magazine. The goal is to make the magazine like an art piece itself, that you can proudly hold in your collection🖤 I chose glossy highlights for my illustration, so the “blobs” around the frogs will be printed in gloss UV ;) Also slipped in a few pages of foil illustrations, y’all know I can’t help myself. This magazine is a celebration of art, and in support of real artists. Much needed in this AI hellscape we’ve been condemned to. Honored to partake in such a project alongside artists like @audraauclair @andrewhem @janicesung @eleeza and many more🩷

Mycorrhizal connection for #funguary ! “Mycorrhizae are a symbiotic association between plant roots and fungi. Their major role is to enhance nutrient and water uptake by the host plant by exploiting a larger volume of soil than roots alone can do.” #funguary2024

Dewdrop Bonnet💧for #funguary FINAL WEEK OF FUNGUARY!! Theme this week is “Cryptic”. Do I plan to follow the theme?? No, I never really do. #funguary2024

Dotted stem bolete!! It turns blue the moment you cut into it, very cool. I imagine it’s hiding an alien alter ego inside of it. #funguary #funguary2024

Black velvet mushroom for #funguary !! This is the first day of week three of Funguary! Theme is Edible, and so all mushrooms on the list are delectable little treats you can eat. Other then that, you’re free to interpret the shrooms how you will :) #funguary2024

Bleeding Tooth fungus for #funguary ! Is it obvious that I was inspired by Valentine’s Day?❤️🖤 I actually really dislike this mushroom, I have such a hard time looking at it because it’s so GROSS. So the final design probably doesn’t look very… mushroomy… #funguary2024

Dead man’s finger fungus for #funguary So I took a little break from the drawing challenge, I just got very burnt out and tired. And sick of all my recent drawings being flagged as inappropriate and having them hidden on everyone’s timeline. they even deleted my first funguary drawing completely… But it turns out they’ve been doing this to a bunch of artists, so it wasn’t anything personal or because IG hates mushrooms. It’s also just so frustrating that you can’t view posts under a hashtag chronologically anymore. Makes it near impossible to see all the submissions😰 Anyway, sorry for being so negative - just wanted to be transparent with y’all. And I’m so so happy for everyone who choose to participate in this challenge, talking with you and seeing all your crazy spins on fungi makes this a highlight of the year for me. Oh and, we have a Funguary discord via my Patreon! Feel like I should promote it more🙈 if you wanna discuss your drawing process with me and other participants, it’s the place to go! #funguary2024

Satans Bolete for #funguary !! Which eyes do you guys like best? Multiple or single? Help me decide! Played around with light sources today - I like how the lighting turned out but it’s not my best concept wise. The design itself is just a bit… basic… it just feels like a pretty drawing without much else to offer🫠 #funguary2024

Second week of #funguary is kicking off TODAAYYY!! And the theme is Demonic😈 So draw up those pentagrams and summon some demons with me this week👻 Any shroom you feel compelled by?? Or one you absolutely can’t stand? Tbh I really don’t enjoy looking at Birds nest fungus, but it’s been so heavily requested that I just had to include it🙈 it just kinda gives me the heebie jeebies. As a reminder - you only have to draw one character within the theme to have participated this week. So no need to draw all seven of them! And you don’t have to draw them within the theme, if you don’t want to. #funguary2024
