“Planning my next trip is undoubtedly my second favorite aspect of life,” says Tahja Davis-Hudson (@itstahjluv), a @beGirl.world alum who spends her time working on a cruise ship in Hawaiʻi. “Each expedition enriches my understanding of both myself and the world.” Her top travel tip: “Keep an open mind, and stay among the local residents. My most memorable experiences occur when I live where the locals do.” Tell us about the trip that changed everything for you 👇 See ya in the comments, travelers 🌍

Sure, the Shire may be fictional, but these rolling hills are as real as Lord of the Rings fans traveling across the globe to tour the Hobbiton Movie Set on New Zealand’s North Island. You won’t see any hobbits there but ya may spot a sheep or two, as it’s located on a farm roughly an hour’s drive away from Rotorua (also worth a stop to see their sparkling Waitomo Caves dotted with glow worms!) “I’m not a die-hard LOTR fan, but it was still so cool to see Hobbiton,” says LP staffer @deepa, who revisited this trip for #HobbitDay. “I learned so much about how location and landscape can bring an imaginary world to life.” Send this someone who would loooove a trip to Middle Earth 🌿

🏖️ GUIDE TO ARUBA 🏖️ Meet your next beach adventure: float through mangroves, discover hidden gems at Fontein Caves, wander Arikok National Park and chill on Eagle Beach (there's a reason Aruba's beaches win awards 🏆). Maybe most importantly, say helloooo to a welcoming culture where you can *really* connect with locals beneath the most sunny days in the Caribbean ☀️ Tag a friend who should chase the sun with ya! @arubatourism #aruba #thearubaeffect

"This area is fringed by one of the country’s best stretches of coast to the east, with the Scottish border meandering around to the north and west," says London-based LP staffer @tomhalltravel of Northumberland. "There’s so much to do here that our repeated family holidays and the occasional cycling trip have only left ever-longer to-do lists for visits to come." The proof is in the pudding (or, well the quote): locals know best. Swipe on through for more local-approved vacay spots in England 👉

"New York City is the kind of place that holds you close and gives you a million glittery, delicious reasons to stay within city limits," write LP's @lauramariamotta. "But sometimes, you just need to drive." 🚗✨ So she grabbed a rental and headed upstate for a weekend getaway in the Catskill Mountains, an American vacation classic (thanks, Dirty Dancing). The drive takes ~2.5 hours from NYC, plus extra time if you wanna stop for lunch in Newburgh like she did.
