👾 Gabriel Massan & Collaborators: 'Third World: The Bottom Dimension' is now open! You’re invited to enter a fantastical and thought-provoking world built by a vital generation of Brazilian artists. The exhibition features a video game, installations, textile, ceramic, sound works and more, and explores Black Brazilian experience as it intersects with the impacts of colonialism. Inside the space, there are two central playrooms - one room invites individual game-play sessions while the other allows you to observe others as they play. Players are also invited to record segments of their game-play which can be minted as souvenir tokens. In memory of Alberto Garutti (1948-2023) 'EVERY STEP THAT I HAVE TAKEN IN MY LIFE HAS BROUGHT ME HERE, NOW' Alberto Garutti was interested in the relationship between the production of objects and the way they liaise within the social sphere. His research centred on an open dialogue between contemporary art, public and public space, creating artworks and public art projects for cities and museums all over the world.  He is seen here at our 'Memory Marathon' in 2012, a two-day event that explored memory, archaeological excavation and historical recordings through overlaps and interactions between artistic practice and scientific enquiry.

Architect Lina Ghotmeh (@linaghotmeh) discusses her 2023 Serpentine Pavilion (@serpentineuk) in this exclusive video produced by Dezeen. Ghotmeh’s design follows last year’s Black Chapel pavilion created by artist and designer Theaster Gates. She is the founding architect of Paris-based studio Lina Ghotmeh Architecture. Notable projects by her studio include the Stone Garden tower in Beirut and Hermès Manufacture in Normandy. Ghotmeh is the 22nd architect to be commissioned for the Serpentine Pavilion.
