We like ours imprisoned by imposing walls of meringue floating ever so delicately on a generous portion of double cream. This ‘mess’ (unfair to call it such as it’s rather pretty) is @cheflivburt creation, a sweet treat made during the gloomy days of the pandemic way back in 2020. A day of digital detox with @nike 👟 We began with an hour long hike getting lost around the woods 🌲 followed by yoga under the dappled shade of an ancient oak tree. 🧘🏽‍♂️ Then it was time for a quick forage before a delicious family style lunch cooked over fire in a little woodland clearing. ☘️ We finished off the day with wild cocktails 🍸 (woodland negronis and margaritas) and a live DJ set 🎵 #experience #justdoit #feastoverfire #intothewild #exploretocreate #experiencenomadic #digitaldetox

In the summertime, when the world is bright, And the air is warm, and the sun is light, I take to the woods, and the fields and the shore, To forage for treasures, and to explore. With basket in hand, and heart full of glee, I wander through nature, wild and free, In search of berries, and herbs, and greens, And all of the bounty that the summer brings. I pluck the strawberries, ripe and red, And the blueberries, too, with their juice so sweet, And the blackberries, hiding in the thorns, And the raspberries, blushing in the morn. I gather the herbs, with their fragrant scent, Like mint, and sage, and thyme so bent, And the wildflowers, with their petals bright, That dance and sway in the warm sunlight. And in the fields, I find the greens, Like dandelion leaves, and mustard seeds, And the purslane, with its tender shoots, And the clover, with its tiny fruits. And on the shore, I search for clams, And mussels, too, in their rocky beds, And the seaweed, with its salty taste, That flavors my dishes with a special grace. Tasty things come to those who wait. The menu is a big topic of discussion at the moment. It will be Levantine inspired but with locality and seasonality in mind as always.
