Il Ciclo della Poesia mi ha portato a raccontare, attraverso due profumi, Notturno e Luce, la mia vita intima di ricercatore. Ho dedicato tante notti alla lettura dei poeti che hanno segnato la mia vita e tante albe passate contemplando l’equilibrio tra silenzio, uomo e natura. La notte prima e l’alba dopo, ascoltando il tormento dell’anima e il desiderio profondo di trovare un equilibrio. Notturno e Luce rappresentano il compimento di un ciclo compositivo di due anni, l’uno vissuto nella durezza del buio e l’altro nel silenzio della luce. Due profumi profondi, viscerali, emozionanti, che hanno riportato in me il desiderio di raccontarmi come uomo poeta ancor prima di naso profumiere. . . The Cycle of Poetry has led me to tell the story of my intimate life as a researcher through two fragrances, Notturno and Luce. I have dedicated many nights to reading the poets who have marked my life and many dawns spent contemplating the balance between silence, man and nature. The night before and the dawn after, listening to the torment of the soul and the deep desire to find a balance. Notturno and Luce represent the completion of a two-year composition cycle, one lived in the harshness of darkness and the other in the silence of light. Narcotico è stato un profumo molto profondo e difficile da comprendere e da portare alla luce. La sua intensità lo racconta, le materie prime che ho scelto per questo lavoro raccontano le visioni mistiche non solo della nostra cultura religiosa ma le racchiude tutte, come una torre di babele degli odori sacri, è l’emozione viscerale del ritrovare le memorie sopite e più profonde del nostro vivere quotidiano. Un profumo nato dal mio amore per Pasolini e Antonello da Messina, dal mio ritorno a Palermo, nella mia Sicilia. Un profumo carico di continui contrasti, tra note molto dure e note più carezzevoli." . . "When I tell our story and that of every fragrance of our collection, as soon as I arrive in Narcotico there is always a moment of silence inside me.. Narcotico was fundamental, because as the first chapter of a new Mystic trilogy it was very deep and very difficult to understand and to bring to light. Its intensity tells it, the raw materials I have chosen for this work not only tell the mystical visions of our religious culture but contain all of them, like a Tower of Babel of sacred smells, it is the visceral thrill of rediscovering dormant memories and deeper than our everyday life. A perfume born from my love for Pasolini and Antonello da Messina, from my return to Palermo, in my Sicily.
