One year with my love What an adventure

Happy international Women’s Day. We doubt ourselves as women, because by nature we identify with our roles as sisters, daughters, partners, wives, mothers, nurturers, caretakers. If we really think about it, being a woman itself is phenomenal; we are more than enough, we will always be enough. Hoping my little daughter Lara will always know and remember that 💖

The best birthday present I’ll ever have 💕 Carrying you for 9 months has been the most life changing experience. Thank you for showing me a love I never knew, for teaching me to be stronger, to remember what’s important in life and so much more. Im near speechless 😢. I hope I can teach you as much as you’ve taught me one day. White dress no. 5 “5 months” We are 5 months into growing a little human. 🤍 A special journey that we didn’t expect. 🤍 My story has been one of many ups and downs like so many women.🤍 Florence is treating us well. 🤍

White dress number 4. “The reception” Designed and made especially for me by the talented @rhionromany This is such an exquisite dress. The beading, shape and flair at the bottom moved like a ball gown under me. I felt like I could walk straight onto a red carpet. Whole different vibe, same love 🤍 I honestly can’t get over it and I have more plans for this dress 🤍🤍 Stay tuned 😃. But in the mean time, ONE more white dress to go before we return to regularly scheduled programming 😀.

White dress no. 3 “First dance” Couldn’t do our first dance unless I was barefoot with some tulle and some pointed toes. If you know, you know 😃. Our first dance was a favorite moment for me, choreographed by my dear friend Adrian @p83dance to a combination of songs (different genres) chosen by my husband. It’s the first time (and possibly the last) he danced with me for so long 😂 ….but defo one of my favourite moments in our entire relationship.

Dress number 2 “The wedding” I have always been one for traditional and sentimental and this dress fulfilled so much of what I never knew I even wanted. Wearing this, I fulfilled part of a promise I made in the last conversation with my late grandmother, Diana, and I knew she was there with me that day. For me the mix of lace, embroidery, cutouts, high neck, intricate appliqué with subtle cultural elements of our ancestors and the right amount of shimmer overall reflected my personality. If you know me, you know I love a white dress… and I LOVE to overdo. The night all the smiles began. Rehearsal dinner WHITE dress No. 1. Getting back active again hasn’t been easy but it’s where my heart is and when my heart smiles 🤍🤍🤍 Keeping myself accountable this week to do more of what I used to.
