RAW SESAME THE YOUTHING OIL - If you haven’t read my last post all about SESAME OIL I suggest you do to learn how to anti-age/reverse age your skin, hair and overall body. This is how I use sesame and rosemary on my scalp and hair that helps make my hair long and thick. RAW ORGANIC SESAME AND ROSEMARY HAIR GROWTH SCALP MICROBIOME BALANCING OIL: I rub organic raw sesame oil into hair and scalp before washing it. For added hair growth benefit I add 10-15 drops of rosemary essential oil to 1/4 cup of sesame oil. Rosemary essential oil along with the raw sesame oil stimulates hair growth and helps balance scalp microbiome and any overgrowth of hair fungus. I let it sit for 1-2 hours..sitting in sun helps it penetrate hair better or sitting somewhere warm with plastic cap on..under warm hair dryer works too. I wash it out and condition as usual. A 2014 study published in the Pharmacognosy Reviews on the bioactive components of black sesame oil revealed: it can help retain the natural hair color and minimize hair loss. Furthermore, the anti-bacterial anti-fungal effects of sesame oil can help eliminate the pathogens or foreign bodies that can attack your scalp, hair and skin. The use of sesame seeds and tahini as a health giving food and remedy date back thousands of years. Rosemary essential oil has been used for thousands of years to make hair growth thick and long and help combat scalp microbiome imbalances. . . #sesame sesameoil #organichaircare #longhairgrowth #organicskinfood #organicskin #organichair #organichairfood #organicbeauty #skinfood #organicbeautyproducts #organicskin #holistichair #holistichaircare #holistichaircare101 #drholistichealth #thickhair #balancemicrobiome #healthyskintips #healthyhairtips #healthyhairjourney

Researchers from Melbourne and the UK identified a previously unknown enzyme used by bacteria, fungi and other organisms to feed on the unusual but abundant sugar sulfoquinovose - SQ for short - found in green vegetables. Each year, leafy green vegetables - such as kale/broccoli/spinach - produce the sugar on an enormous scale globally. The research, published today in the journal Nature Chemical Biology, was led by Dr Ethan Goddard-Borger from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, Professor Spencer Williams from the Bio21 Institute and University of Melbourne, and Professor Gideon Davies from the University of York, UK. Dr Goddard-Borger said the discovery could be exploited to cultivate the growth of 'good' gut bacteria. "Every time we eat leafy green vegetables we consume significant amounts of SQ sugars, which are used as an energy source by good gut bacteria," he said. "Bacteria in the gut, such as crucial protective strains of E. coli, use SQ as a source of energy. E. coli provides a protective barrier that prevents growth and colonisation by bad bacteria, because the good bugs are taking up all the habitable real estate," Dr Goddard-Borger said. "E. coli is a key bacterial coloniser needed by our gut. We speculate that consumption of this specific molecule within #leafygreens will prove to be an important factor in improving and maintaining healthy #gutbacteria and good digestive health." Professor Williams said the team had revealed how bacteria extract the sugar from plants in order to fuel their growth. "We discovered the enzyme YihQ, which is used by bacteria to absorb and metabolise these sulfur-containing sugars as food," he said. "Sulfur is critical for building proteins, the essential components of all living organisms. SQ is the only sugar molecule which contains sulfur, and 'digestion' of the molecule by bacteria releases sulfur into the environment, where it re-enters the global 'sulfur cycle' to be reused by other organisms." Professor Williams said that the pathway was unusual, but abundant in biological organisms. #drholistichealth #microbiome #holisticnutritionist #leafygreens #organicvegetables #microbiomehealth #nutritiontips
