How to Clean Carpets - natural solutions that work! Clear the room(s) of extra furniture and anything on the floor Fill your tank with HOT water. Add your cleaning solution: I like Biokleen’s Carpet Cleaning solution, Clean Mama’s Oxygen Whitener (1 scoop to the hot water to brighten carpets), OR a mixture of 50:50 hot water to white vinegar. Follow the directions for your carpet cleaner - go slowly, moving from the back of the room to the door taking care to extract the solution and dry the carpet. FREE Bedroom Challenge - Key Area #5 : Launder Bedding⁠ ⁠ 1. Choose the bedding you’ll be laundering - do one bedroom at a time or just do one bedroom for the challenge.⁠ 2. Remove everything from the bed.⁠ 3. Launder the sheets and mattress protector.⁠ 4. Vacuum the mattress - use a baking soda sprinkle to freshen up the mattress if needed.⁠ 5. Vacuum under and around the bed.⁠ 6. Move the bedding into the dryer and launder the duvet cover or quilt. ⁠ 7. Once the sheets are dry, put them back on the bed.⁠ 8.
