Ingredients 6 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces 1 tbsp oil, avocado or olive oil 1 medium onion, chopped 1 lb hot or sweet Italian sausage, casings removed 2 garlic cloves, chopped 1 tsp dried oregano 2 tbsp tomato paste 32 oz low-sodium broth, (chicken or beef) 15 oz canned crushed tomatoes, with their juice 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated 1/2 cup half & half Instructions Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook them for 2 minutes less than advised by the package instructions. Drain the noodles, drizzle them with oil, and set them aside. Place a heavy bottom pot or dutch oven over medium heat, add the sausage, and sautee until cooked through, breaking it up into small pieces with a spatula. Add the onion and cook until it’s translucent. Stir in pressed garlic and oregano and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add tomato paste, broth, and canned tomatoes. Bring to a boil then reduce heat, partially cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Keeping the heat at a simmer, add in noodles, half and half, parmesan, and basil. Simmer for a few more minutes and season to taste. Serve right away with a spoonful of ricotta cheese and a sprinkle of fresh basil.

New Aldi Candles! Oakmoss & Amber- my favorite of the 4! The amber is not overpowering in this at all. It’s like a vanilla teakwood or something. I wanted to say vanilla birch, but it’s not birch, but there’s a sweetness to it, it’s nice!! Orange Blossom & Apricot- apricot is the prominent note without a doubt! It’s fruity and sweet, but there is a tartness from the orange and it’s almost an afterthought note, like you don’t get in your face tart, but it’s certainly there and beautifully blended!! Green Tea & Bergamot- green tea is the obvious first impression, but it has a green note from the bergamot that tones down that over the top tea scent some candles can get!! Weekend Road Trip- I feel like Aldi has been doing these basic beach /aquatic candles all summer and this is another one. Salty sea breeze mixed with grassy notes and leaning towards a fresh cologne type of scent. It’s nice, but it’s nothing super special. It’s will work well with tons of other scents and it’s something most everyone can enjoy!! So these are my first impressions, I did skip on the single wicks for now, none of these were so amazing that I needed duplicates either. I’m ready for their fall candles and if they follow schedules from the last two years, we should see them in about 2-4 weeks!!! I can’t even say these scents are transitional scents, these to me are still straight up summer. Ingredients 1 lb lean ground beef 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp Italian seasoning sea salt and pepper to taste about 1/4 teaspoon each 1 (14.5 oz.) jar diced tomatoes with juice 1 cup marinara sauce 3 large bell peppers, any color, sliced in half, seeds and membraines removed nitrate free pepperoni, thinly sliced 1/4 cup black pitted olives, sliced 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded Instructions Preheat your oven to 400 degrees f. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add in ground meat, garlic, and cook while crumbling with a wooden spoon until no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess grease. I honestly feel like the most delicious creations come about with no planning at all! I made this by just looking at what I had on hand and throwing some things together, and it was absolutely amazing! A puff pastry tart filled with a layer of chopped spinach I mixed with some herbs (salt, pepper, garlic, chives, parsley, dill, rosemary) and garlic @alouettecheese, topped with roasted zucchini and tomatoes. Such a bright and beautiful summer superfood dish! ✨❤️

INGREDIENTS 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded to an even thickness (4 average-sized breasts) 1 to 2 teaspoons 21 Salute Seasoning or poultry seasoning 1 teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste 1/2 cup white wine* or chicken broth, or as necessary 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, or more if you want extra sauce 1 tablespoon garlic, finely minced; or to taste 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, optional for garnishing INSTRUCTIONS To a large skillet, add the olive oil, pounded chicken, evenly season with 21 Salute, salt, pepper, and cook over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Do not touch, move, or disturb the chicken while it is searing. After 5 minutes, flip chicken over. It should have a medium golden color. For thicker/bigger chicken breasts, sear for 6-7 minutes. Allow chicken to cook on the second side for about 5 minutes, or until done and cooked through. Again, do not disturb the chicken while it's searing. Ingredients 4 zucchini, spiralized 1 tbsp olive oil 1 pound shrimp, peeled and cleaned 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tbsp unsalted butter 3/4 cup heavy cream 4 oz cream cheese 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp ground black pepper 2 tbsp fresh parsley Instructions Heat a large skillet over medium high heat then add the olive oil, shrimp and garlic. Cook the shrimp for 2 minutes, flip and cook for another minute until the shrimp is nice and pink. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside. Add the butter to the skillet along with the cream cheese. Once both have melted together, add the parmesan, heavy cream, salt and pepper and stir together. Add the shrimp and zucchini noodles back into the pan and cook everything together in the sauce for 3 minutes. Divide between plates and serve with the parsley sprinkled on top.

Ingredients 2 lb boneless chicken breasts Kosher salt and ground pepper to taste 1 tsp Italian seasoning 2 tbsp olive oil divided 4-5 cloves garlic minced 1 1/2 cup almond milk 1 tbsp gluten-free flour 1 medium broccoli head chopped (about 3 cups) 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped Lemon wedges optional to serve Instructions Rub the chicken with the seasonings on all sides. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken until golden-brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Set aside and cover to keep warm. In a small bowl whisk the almond milk and flour until smooth. To the same pan heat the remaining oil, over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for up to 1 minute. Pour in the almond milk mixture and stir; you should see the sauce getting thicker almost immediately as it heats up. Add broccoli and cook for 6-8 minutes, or just until tender. Return the chicken back to the pan and continue to cook for a couple of minutes to heat up. Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges, if desired.
