🪴 Jorja’s Vegan Eats 🪴

Okayyyy so conscious kitchen on kloof street… Had a vegan club sandwich, rainbow tofu summer rolls, latke duo, buffalo cauliflower wings and pulled pork tacos 😫😫😫😫 Probs one of my fave meals of the trip 😳 So class cause they had so many diff options whether you wanted something healthy, junk food or breakfast ! So many diff hot drinks and press juices too ! They have wee swinging chairs for seating and it’s just so comfy n vibey ! And they sold local Cape Town brand’s stuff too (bikinis were so sexy omg) ! 🧡🧡🧡

2 for 1 Wednesdays at Lekker vegan omggggg !! Me and Emma got a cheesy chicken burger and Daphne got a beef burger! Then some loaded mince cheesy fries to share ! And a fourth meaty burger not pictured cause we were hungry and wanted that deal 💵 😍😍😍 such a sucker for fake meat and we were all obsessed with this meal !! @lekkervegan

Okay girlies, I’m making a vegan food insta comeback !!! What better way to kickstart us off than with this sexy nutty smoothie bowl and mushroom ragout on sourdough I had at The Strangers Club in Cape Town yesterday! The place was even more sexy and they had cute vibey clothes and homewares shops about, truly living my best 💅🏼 city ☕️ gurl 🌊 life ☀️

Beetroot sauvage lunch yesterday did not disappoint 😍 Having tried their handmade cheeses throughout the summer I knew I had to go for the Mac n cheese 😜 We also shared some lovely fresh nachos, and I ofc had to get a pumpkin spiced hot chocolate and caramel shortbread (not pictured 😔) for dessert !! The cafe is such nice cosy vibes especially on a driech day like yesterday!! Edinburgh people go book yourself a table for some wholesome vegan goodness ✨🌱 @beetrootsauvage

PLANT BAE TRIP 🥵💘 Finally checked out the new vegan (aesthetic af) cafe in Edi, and she did not disappoint!! 😍 Don’t mind my friends and me ordering the whole menu, but it was worth every penny!! ✌🏼 The Mac n cheese was defo my fave and I can’t wait to go back for more 🤤 @heyplantbae

Made a mean mac n cheese for the flatmates 😍 Served with garlic fried cherry tomatoes 🍅, roasted broccoli 🥦 and Tesco’s infamous garlic bread 🥖 *chefs kiss* Mac n Cheese: melted butter, mixed in with flour, slowly mixed in with soya milk, boiling half an onion in the mixture for 5 mins, nooch, violife grated cheese, paprika, garlic, salt n pepper! 🧀

FLUFFY PANCAKES🌱🥞 Finally tried @homemadewithjade_ pancake recipe because they always look insane and they did not disappoint (can find the recipe in her story highlight)! So simple and good!!💚 Just topped with some fresh strawberries picked from our local fruit farm, melted peanut butter, agave syrup and chia seeds yummmm😍

LASAGNE AND DIRTY FRIES🌱🤤 I had my friend Dhruti over last weekend and she introduced me to this amazing bolognese recipe using crumbled up and roasted tofu for the ‘mince’!! One night we popped it in to tacos, then we put it in a lasagne, genius😍😍 Served with the plant kitchen dirty fries and some side salad!! She tastes better than she looks ✌🏼

ROASTED PEPPER AND HUMMUS SANDWICHES🌱🥪 It was Jorja’s sisters bday the other day, so we all had some afternoon tea in the garden! We whipped up these sandwiches; roasted red pepper (in oil and paprika), hummus, and spinach! So easy and tasty!! We also had some @jus_rol pain au chocolates and carrot cake from a local cafe which were all amazing!😍

PEA AND BROCCOLI SOUP🌱🍵 Lunch today was this amazing creamy soup😍 It was such a dreich day so this was perfect! Served with warm toasted tiger bread and the @tescofood wicked curried cauliflower pasty!! Soooo good and hearty!💚 For the soup; we fried off onion, leek, garlic, then added in veg stock, coconut milk, broccoli and peas, simmered it off then half blended it! - Jorja X

BISCOFF MILLIONAIRE SHORTBREADS 🌱🤩 Used the @joskitchenlarder recipe for these treats this afternoon! Literally obsessed with Biscoff so melting a whole tub to replace the traditional caramel was insane!! 😍 Also used bournville for the chocolate topping, the best chocolate obvz! Probs would have done a thinner base next time and added in more Biscoff and chocolate!

SHIITAKE MUSHROOM, BUTTERNUT SQUASH AND SAGE LINGUINE🌱🍝 Tonight I made this beautiful pasta dish from @avantgardevegan new cookbook 😍 What a combo of flavours, so bloody good!! • • Only thing I hate about trying new recipes is... sticking to the recipe 😂 Next time I’d defo use double the amount of mushrooms and fry them separately so they’re crispy! - Jorja x
