Today marks 40 years since the legendary Live Aid… and what better way to celebrate it than with a tribute to the greatest of all time: Freddie Mercury. It’s no secret how much Queen has shaped my life. I remember saving up my allowance as a kid just to buy their cassettes and CDs. I would spend hours drawing with their music playing in the background… never imagining that, years later, art would lead me to meet Brian May and Roger Taylor in person. Who would’ve thought? From dreaming of seeing them live… to actually sharing moments backstage. All thanks to tattooing. I’ve always wanted to honor them through my work, and the opportunity finally came. This is the beginning of a full-sleeve tribute to what I believe is — and will always be — the greatest band in history. (And I’m not debating that with anyone 😂) Thank you @yqtattoos for the trust. Recuerdo de niño guardar mi mesada para comprar sus casetes y CDs. Dibujaba por horas mientras sonaba su música de fondo… sin saber que, años después, el arte me llevaría a conocer en persona a Brian May y Roger Taylor. Quién lo diría… de soñar con verlos, pasé a compartir con ellos tras bastidores. Todo gracias al tatuaje. Siempre quise rendirles homenaje a través de mi trabajo, y por fin se dio la oportunidad. Esto es el comienzo de un proyecto tributo que abarcará todo el brazo. Un tributo a lo que para mí es y será la mejor banda de todos los tiempos. (Y no pienso discutirlo con nadie 😂) Gracias @yqtattoos por la confianza. Y larga vida a la majestuosidad de QUEEN. 👑

Last Rat Pack collaboration. This is a small recap of what we lived at @mondialdutatouage our final collaboration as The Rat Pack @theratpacktattoo It was always about the need to see each other and share time together, to sit as colleagues, keep learning from one another, question ourselves, grow and remember why we started. Ten years later we understand the value was never only the pieces, it was the conversations, the laughs, and the mutual admiration. Here is the result of our @theratpacktattoo collaboration, created at @mondialdutatouage by @stevebutchertattoos @davepaulo_tattooartist @sambarbertattoo @benjaminlaukis @yomicoart After 7 years without coming together, we decided to do it one last time. Not to start something new, but to close the cycle of what the Rat Pack was, with respect and gratitude. This project was born from friendship and even after all these years, we keep discovering that tattooing is often just the excuse. The real reason we always come together has been the laughter, the debates, the shared stories and everything that true friendship represents. Thank you to everyone who followed us throughout this journey over the years. To the clients who trusted us and became part of every piece we created, specially to @willemond for being a trooper in this project And, of course, to @mondialdutatouage for giving us 10 years of what will undoubtedly remain in history as one of the greatest tattoo conventions in the world. Our Final Collaboration That idea born at the London Convention in 2016 now comes full circle. Ten years later, we return not to relive the past, but to look at it one last time and give thanks. Paris @mondialdutatouage also says goodbye and so do we. We never imagined that an idea shared by six friends would leave us with so much. Not only in our careers, but in who we are today as artists, as friends, as human beings. There are moments that don’t repeat themselves. Not because they can’t, but because they’ve already said everything they needed to say. The Rat Pack will always remain an indelible part of our careers, of our story and of the story of many. So we’ll see each other in Paris! Not to begin something new but to close a chapter and honor this art that has given us so much.
