Portrait d’artiste : @laurencephilomene 🧡🍊🏵️ Laurence Philomène est un.e artiste non-binaire de Montréal qui crée des photographies colorées inspirées par ses expériences vécues en tant que personne transgenre chroniquement malade. Sa pratique artistique célèbre l'existence trans et étudie l'identité en tant qu'espace en constante évolution à travers des images hautement saturées, cinématographiques et vulnérables. Description du projet : Puberty est un projet d'autoportrait photographique qui examine le processus intime et vital du self-care en tant que personne transgenre non-binaire prenant de la testosterone à travers un traitement hormonal substitutif (THS). Créé au cours une période de deux ans (2019-2020), ce projet combine couleurs surréalistes et environnements banals afin de documenter les moments quotidiens et les changements physiques lents et subtils se produisant pendant la transition hormonale de l’artiste. Considérant le THS comme un processus sans objectif final fixe, Puberty met les téléspectateurs au défi de considérer l'identité au-delà des pré-conceptions binaires.
