Googles how to politely tell the foreman that his breath stinks 😷

Today marks 5 years of my employment with the @lilongwewildlife trust (im posting this from a couch in Sydney but we are ignoring that 😂) Wildlife work is amazing and shitty and wonderful and exhausting and im so glad i get to do it every day surrounded by amazing, wonderful (exhausting 😂) humans. Here’s to another 5 years

Secret fact: Puck’s full name is pineapple upside down cake. Less secret fact: he’s huge now! Puck was born into the illegal wildlife trade, rejected at birth by his hugely stressed mother he was bottle fed for weeks and now is more or less fully weaned and smashing all his life goals #pangolín #malawiwildliferescue

Happy #hyena day to 4 of the best in breed! (I refuse to spell it #hyaena . I don’t care what science says) Hyena are amazing animals that need to sue Disney for the bad PR. They are incredible hunters, loyal to their families, super intelligent and just all round brilliant

Same animal, same pose, months of healing (and one ear surgery 😅) apart

Often the first question we get asked when we get a new orphan is “how old is it?” And normally we can make a fairly educated guess from things like weight, tooth development, behavioural development etc. Not for little Julius Salad. I can tell you exactly how old he is to the exact minute because I delivered him 😅 Poor Julius’ mother was one of the wild duiker that live on site at the wildlife centre. Unfortunately she was found on the ground unable to stand. We are not too sure why but we tried everything to save her but late last Saturday night it was clear she wasn’t going to get better and her unborn baby’s only chance at survival was c section. So added by the VERY brave @agingerinafrica who isn’t good with the sight of blood but still managed to be a huge help, I euthanised the mother whilst simultaneously delivering her son. A career first and not one I want to repeat in a hurry but Julius Salad has defied the odds and a week on is a strong baby who is meeting all the regular duiker development goals. You got this little 🥗 man!

Nothing cuts deeper than the glare of a disappointed penguin 🐧

The photo they post on tinder vs who shows up for the date….. #vervetmonkey #catfish #vsreality

Everybody drinks but only a select few can make it ✨jazzy ✨

From tiny stinky babies to grown up stinky babies! Today was release day for the little mongoose pair and despite having them for like 6 months still never decided on the correct plural for mongoose…. They traveled to the release site in different crates and were a little nervous until they saw each other and then it was all excited squeaks as they wondered off into the green 🌳🦝

Arrived too late for the #worldpangolinday party but we will forgive the tardiness. Newly rescued Wanjala (it means hungry 😅) proving why I always think of Godzilla when I watch pangolins eat. They just go to town and cause absolute 🐜 chaos! And also why sometimes little stumpy legs do not equal style and grace…. She’s still very newly rescued and very stressed from her trafficking ordeal so success isn’t guaranteed but she’s got hella attitude and enough sass to fill a swimming pool so we can be quietly optimistic #malawiwildliferescue #pangolin #rescue

I know I’m not supposed to play favourites but Frost is the most handsome monkey on the planet. I would marry this monkey. #vervetmonkey #malawiwildliferescue #handsome
