Jonas Jödicke (Fantasy Art)

I just released a course about digital painting with Domestika!! 😱 After months of work I can finally reveal it!! "Digital Illustration of Fantasy Animals for Beginners" is on pre-sale now and will be fully available on 8th of September. Watch the trailer and pre-order through the link in my bio! It's on a huge summer sale (up to 50% or more off depending on where you are) until 6th of September, so better get it sooner than later! 😁 The course covers a few basic lessons on fantasy art as a genre, animal anatomy, composition, light & shadows and finding your voice as an artist. The main part is a complete walkthrough of a new painting of mine, "Finding Myself", which has a very personal meaning. I take you through the entire process: finding the idea, looking for reference material, sketching, coloring and final touch ups. There are smaller assignments along the way to practice and in the end you will be encouraged to create your own final project that you can share in the exclusive forum for other students and myself to see. You will also receive a certificate upon completion of the course. The audio is in German but there are subtitles in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Polish and Dutch. So if you speak any of these languages, you can take the course. If you want to buy the course, please do so through the affiliate link in my bio as it will give me a higher percentage of the sale. Once you bought the course, you will have complete access forever through your Domestika profile (once it fully launches on 8th of September). It is is beginner friendly but basic artistic skills are recommended. You need a PC + graphic tablet and/or an iPad (or similar device), as well as a graphic software (e.g.: Photoshop, Procreate, Krita, Paint Tool SAI, etc.). Total watch time is around 3 1/2 hours. I really hope you will enjoy taking this course as much as I enjoyed preparing it! 💛 #digitalart #digitalpainting #fantasyart #tigerart #animalart #domestika #artcourse #arttutorial #arthowto

"Seasons Change" 🌿🌸🍁❄️ Do not fear my little one, summer's over, fall is gone, winter's coming like a thief, yet there is no need to grieve. Seasons change, time flies by, birds sing summers' lullaby, winters' cold and ruthless sting clears the way for newborn spring. ✨✨ My newest artwork! Finally I can post it! ☺️ I worked so long on this one! I really hope you like it! What is your interpretation as to the meaning of it? I would love to hear!! ❤️❤️ Prints are available in my shop (link is in my bio! I am gay. - If you had told me a few months ago that some day I’d be comfortable saying that, I would have thought you were crazy. And to be honest, it still feels so surreal. Two months ago something happened to me, that completely changed the course of my life - I had a series of severe panic attacks. Interestingly, I had prayed to God for weeks before this incident, asking Him for an opportunity to finally tell my family that I was gay. I had known it for ten years, yet kept it a secret and tried to convince myself that it would go away some day. While being raised in a religious environment instilled many wonderful values in me, discovering that I was gay at age 14 was the scariest thing ever. Growing up was hard enough, yet feeling as though I was by default a broken human being robbed me of any self-esteem. My passion for art saved me during that dark period. Had it not been for my panic attack, I probably would have stayed closeted. But when I was at my lowest, I knew I had to get rid of all emotional burdens, or else they would simply crush me. Coming out and choosing to be true to who I am has filled me with a peace and joy I haven’t felt for years. I am sharing my story, because I know there are others out there who are going through the same hell I had to go through. Whoever you are, please, PLEASE know that you are loved. The world is a better place because of the gentle soul you are. I know that every situation is unique and I can’t prescribe a one-fits-all solution. But what I can and will prescribe is this: you are perfect the way you are and God loves you. Period. I don’t know where my future will take me, but I know I want to embrace who I am, live an authentic life and offer support to those afflicted. If God is the loving, wise being whose presence I have felt so many times in my life, I know He is calling me to stand up for those who are among the most vulnerable. I am Jonas. I am an artist. I am gay. I am not broken. And neither are you. Because #loveisloveislove - #lgbtq🌈 #comingout

I know Ai art is impressive and it’s fun to play around with. But I think most people aren’t aware of the impact it has on the artist community right now. I see Ai generated images EVERYWHERE. It’s easy to spot for me as an artist. On social media these images get hundreds of thousands of likes and compliments and on other platforms like Etsy or Displate they quickly become bestsellers. The problem is that actual human artists who spent years honing their craft are being tossed aside. They simply can’t compete with an algorithm that creates (almost) perfectly rendered images in seconds. I am seeing artists quit left and right, every single day. If we don’t educate people on this issue and get sensible regulation on Ai generated images, we might loose an entire generation of artists. I find that absolutely devastating. If you care about human made art, please support your favorite artists. I myself bought a lot of prints by artists I love this weekend to show my appreciation. Even just engaging with their posts and sharing their work means a lot. They really need you. #artcommunity #artists #artist #digitalart #painting #painter #creatives

6 years ago my art was stolen by 1000s of online shops. They printed my art on all kinds of products and sold them everywhere around the world. They made millions from it. I even saw people wearing my art on the street! I tried to fight the theft by myself but gave up because it became too overwhelming. Then 2 years ago I started working with a law firm. 16 lawyers took down over 2000 shops to this date & recovered funds. They said it was the biggest case of art theft they have ever had to deal with. After almost giving up and at some point even wanting to quit art, I just bought my own apartment with the money my lawyers recovered! Artists: never give up fighting for your rights! You deserve to be paid for your work! 💪🏻 — Btw, official resellers of my art are: - Ravensburger - Diamond Art Club - My store on Displate - The Mountain - Bittersweetparis … and a few others ❤️ #art #arttheft #mystory #digitalart #artist #storytime

Which one of these 3 tiger themed artworks is your favorite? 🐯 — If you'd like to download these as phone screensavers, consider supporting me on my Patreon: patreon.com/jojoesart I just released a new set of tiger-themed wallpapers there and through becoming a Patron you also get access to a number of other wallpapers I uploaded before. My Patreon is mainly for those of you who would like to support me and my art. I offer occasional "goodies" like wallpapers and sometimes I also post process videos and/or process steps, sketches, etc. Overall, Patreon is more of a donation platform though that helps me make a living as an artist and create more personal art. If you decide to become a monthly supporter, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. And even if you don't, thank you for supporting me by being a silent or active follow. It truly means a lot! 💛 PS: Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates! 🎄 — #tigerart #tiger #fantasyart #digitalart #digitalartist

1 or 2? Which artwork is your favorite? 🐅 🦌 — „Healer‘s Touch“ and „Springbringer“ are the two artworks I am currently offering as limited edition signed prints. Stock is getting low for both. Once they are gone, they will never be restocked. Both artworks will also be released as puzzles by Ravensburger next year. That's what they were originally created for. I am super happy with how they turned out. You find the link to my print store in my bìo. It closes today at 0:00 CET (in around 4 hrs) and will be closed for the rest of the year. 💛 — #digitalart #digitalpainting #digitaldrawing #fantasypainting #fantasyartwork #tigerart #deerart
