Back!!! And with a big surprise 🙃

See yah later Instagram… This past year has felt like I’ve lived five years in a one year time span. It’s been a challenging and transformative year. Becoming a mother truly does something to you! I’ve lost myself as equally as I’ve gained myself. One thing I know for sure is that my relationship with Jesus has lacked. He is still my savior, father and best friend but I MISS HIM! Social media has left me unsatisfied, unmotivated and over stimulated. Honestly, it’s left me more lost than “found” for years. I know I’m not alone in the struggle of the social media world and how it affects us as humans. I’ve fought the conviction to give it up many many times. Feeling like I can’t live without it. Even typing that makes my heart so sad. Why?? Because that’s how I want to feel about Jesus!! So I’ve decided to take a nice lonnnggggg break from this space to focus on my relationship with Him. I want to focus on deep connection and intentionality within my marriage, my family, my friendships, my health and my calling as a Believer. To break away from the constant consumption and opinions. To get back to my own intuition and discernment. A quality of life my soul craves. See you in 365 days.

Ending the year and starting the new year camping is always my fav. Going into 2023 with a thankful heart for the life and love we have!

One day my tickles won’t mean so much. One day I wont have tiny little hands reaching for my food as I eat for the first time all day. One day my water cup won’t taste better than his own. One day he won’t need me this much. Moments before I captured this video he was upset and refusing to eat his lunch. Trying my best to stay patient while he had a melt down. I than started to lose it as well. I grabbed him out of his high chair and set him on the floor and stepped away for a second. As I gathered my own emotions I decided to get down on the floor with him to comfort him instead of picking him up. As he calmed down a little I had the plate of food next to me on the floor and started eating it. He caught on and wanted to be a part of it. As we sat on the floor sharing his food all he wanted to do was hug me and kiss me at the same time as eating his pesto tortellini. I found myself fighting it thinking, “I just took a shower and you’re getting pesto all in my hair.” “I now have to change my clothes because pesto is being rubbed all over me”. And than all of a sudden I felt God just overwhelm me with the goodness of what that moment ACTUALLY was. My son wanting to be comforted and loved by me. I mean he was literally hugging me and shoving tortellinis in his mouth at the same time. He missed me. He needed me. My time. My love. He’s not always going to need me in this way and one day I’m going to miss it. I get so caught up in what things are “supposed” to look like when really I need to focus on what he needs and most of the time it’s what I need too. So eating our food on the floor while hugging was what he (we) needed today. I’ve never been more happy to be covered in pesto.

ONE!!! One whole year of loving this little stinker! Feeling all the feels and just can’t quite put it into words. Today was so so good 🤍

5 years of marriage and we’ve already experienced a lot of LIFE! An unbelievable wedding, finishing probation at your dream job, buying our first house, months + years spent making that house a home, getting our first pup (we love you Ford), lots and lots of camping trips, traveling the world - 8 different countries including Haiti on a mission trip and Hungry to visit your roots, countless memories with friends and family, finding out we made a baby, giving birth to our beautiful baby boy and so much more I could go on and on! Along with all the highs have come very many lows. Financial stress, disagreements, hurtful arguments, very tough conversations, death of loved ones, grief upon grief, misunderstandings, more financial struggle, the possibility of losing your career, sickness, let downs, temptation, frustration, and even anger. Marriage is HARD. Marriage takes a sacrifice I never expected to encounter, quite honestly. MARRIAGE IS HOLY! It’s messy and imperfect but so beautiful. I know OUR marriage is something that God is proud of. I have so much confidence in knowing the work that is being done in and through our marriage is truly getting us closer and closer to the day we make it up to heaven. 9.16 🤍

Happy 9 months of life in this great big world! Your curiosity and joy are the greatest gifts of all.
