Upped calories to a minor deficit (c.2,300), and changed the composition to boost carbs up to around 300 g. Feeling decent, but hungry. Just trusting what I know.
Finally got my abs back after a Thursday of mass indulgence. Q3 Team Social. Started off with good intentions on the Vodka & Diet Cokes, but I didn't account for the speed that I drink. Long story short, ended up on the other side of tipsy, and without my inhibitions, I hit the food. Once the door was open, I couldn't stop. Steak and chicken combo and a mixed sharer in the pub, then moved onto the shop; 3 Grenade bars, a wrap, a sausage roll, a Topic, and a white Snickers. I felt so sick. Woke up the next day dry and veiny, but then the water retention kicked in. Not going to lie. I panicked a bit. Thought I'd undone 3 months work in 1 night. Also, had such a good workout today in @zonegym. Best gym I've trained at in London so far. #mindgames
Waist Away 📌
Had tea, still hungry. 13 hours and 16 minutes until my next meal ⏳
A bowl of peanut buttery porridge sandwiched between 70 minutes fasted cardio and a half decent shoulder workout. Next up; lunch and Liverpool.
Currently bogged down with a common cold, but motivation being driven by drastic changes to my physique. Low calories and illness are impacting my workouts, but the diet is still very much on point. Still on the same formula. Approximately 1,350 - 1,450 calories a day Monday to Friday, and then a net calorie intake of around 1,800 of a weekend (usually in the form of 2,400 calories intake and 600 calories cardio). 3 weeks to go, and I reckon I'm 2 weeks from where I want to be. Gives me a week to increase food intake so I don't turn into a blimp whilst away.
Morning Progress Update. Things are going good. I think I've always been better at restricting food intake, rather than running myself into the ground with cardio. The bodybuilding purists will say my daily calorific intake is too low. I'm clocking in anywhere between 1,250 and 1,500 Monday to Friday. No cardio, just a weight session. Of a weekend I've upped my calories to between 1,700 and 1,900, but offset this with some natural cardio, i.e., walking the dog, walking instead of driving to the shop, etc. Normally about 1 hour on Saturday and 2 hours on Sunday. I'm fairly flexible of a weekend. I tend to have porridge for breakfast, have 1 relatively healthy "cheat meal" each night, a "dirty" dessert, and a skinny caramel frappuccino. It fits around my lifestyle, plays to my strengths, and is serving the purpose of what it is designed, so happy to continue. I'd say, on a pain scale, if prep was a 10, I'm running at a 6 now. Definitely got more gears, but not sure if I need to take them.
Chest Done 🗡 Get me home for a fat scran. 180 g chicken breast in a Maggi sheet 200 g potatoes turned into chips 125 g mixed salad
Felt cute. Might delete later.
Night Time Check In. Training sessions getting harder. 6.5 weeks to go.
Morning Check-In. Shaken off the water I was holding from HotBox LDN on Sunday. Up earlier than usual to train before work so I'm home in good time for the match later. Life is easier when you're focused and regimented.
