A few days ago I asked if you wanted to know some of my favourite podcasts and most of you did, so here they are! More than ever, I love listening to these when I go for walks or clean the home. It's a nice escape from our current reality! Save this post for later! What are some of your current favs? I am always looking for new ones! 1) How I Built This - a podcast about "innovators, entrepreneurs, idealists, and the stories behind the movements they built". @npr & @guy.raz 2) The Skinny Confidential (Him & Her) - brought to you by a lifestyle blogger and her entrepreneur husband. They talk about a wide range of things: business, beauty, mindset, etc. New episodes every Tuesday and every other Friday. @tscpodcast 3) Even the Rich - inside scoop on some of the greatest family dynasties brought to you by two comedians. The inside scoop on the Royals, Kardashians, Murdocks, and the Carters (Jay-Z and Beyonce). New episodes every Tuesday. @wonderymedia 4) Dying for Sex - sounds raunchy and it kind of is but such a beautiful message about life and friendship. Warning: I cried, a couple of times. Only 7 episodes and I could not stop listening. @wonderymedia 5) Chasing Cosby - All about the Bill Cosby case. Definitely disturbing but very interesting. Also, only 7 episodes and very binge-worthy. @latimes
One silver lining of lock down? I revived my YouTube channel over the weekend! 🎥 This has always been a creative outlet for me (filming/editing) so whenever life gets too busy, it gets put on the back burner. 🤷🏼♀️ If you are curious as to what Sweat Club looked like before it was @sweatclubinc, you should check out my newest video! Link in bio: @lclendenning. I love having these videos to look back on! What is something YOU have revisited or tried for the first time since quarantine? 👇🏼
If living in this romper is wrong, I don’t want to be right. ☺️ #everywear
Happy Good Friday! 🐣 Who else has had to adjust to working from home? Here are some tips that have been working for me. I hope they can help some of you! 1) Schedule your week and goals at the beginning of the week. 2) Make a list each morning of the tasks you want to complete each day. 3) Set a routine and regular hours when you will be working. 4) Schedule breaks. I always take my dog for a big walk in the afternoon to break up my day. 5) Create a home office. For me, this has been my kitchen table and I leave it set up. 6) Get dressed out of your PJ's. This always makes me feel more motivated! 7) Put in headphones to not get distracted by others at home. I love listening to classical music while I work. Anyone else? 8) Turn off social media notifications or put your phone on silent. What have you been doing that has been helping you? 👇🏼
We are heading into week 4 of isolation. How are you doing? Have you created a new routine? For those who have lost work, I want to share some very specific tips for how I am creating a new schedule for myself: 1) Try to get up at the same time each day. 2) Upon waking, drink a big glass of water - I always keep this on my nightstand. 3) Before checking social media, pick one way to clear your mind. Examples: meditate, workout, go for a walk, stretch, or journal. 4) Make a list of 3-5 tasks that you want to complete that day. Write them down! These could be big or small. 5) Cross off these tasks as you do them for a sense of satisfaction. #MiniGoals 6) Try to get outside in the late morning or early afternoon, especially if the sun is out! This will help break up your day. #SocialDistance 7) Set a time in the evening for when you are “allowed” to start watching Netflix (or Hulu, Crave, Hayu, etc.) so you don’t get sucked into a show and not complete step 5. I understand this may work better for some rather than others but I hope some of you find it helpful! What else should I add to my routine?
Real results using my #LC28Days program. 😍👏🏼 This lady admits the program helped her get back on track with her physical AND mental health... while losing 9.4 lbs. I am so so proud of her! Fact: physical exercise helps improve mood while decreasing anxiety and depression. These are all things I believe we need help with right now more than ever. Join my community and I for the next 28 days! The last day to register is TODAY! Link in bio for more info: @lclendenning
#Throwback to that first time I went to #Whistler in 2012! Gahhh I love that place! ❤️ Have you ever been? Is anyone else going through old photos during this isolation? Who else is living through old travel memories? 🥰
I am naturally pretty optimistic. I figure there are two ways to look at things: good vs. bad. I am trying to be positive and to make you all smile but do not kid yourself if you don’t think I’ve had terrible days too. Some days are good. Some days I cry and I think that’s ok. The world as we knew it has changed. If I’m being honest, I’m scared. I hate the unknown and uncertainty. I’m sure you can all relate. I understand your pain. Social media has been a scary place for me so I’m trying to only put out things to brighten your day but I had to be super real for a minute. I love you all. Don’t think for one minute you’re in this alone. *virtual hugs*
