Children are having to pause their education because of water. The water supply in the Grand Bahama has been contaminated since Dorian made landfall, so schools can’t provide drinking water. Children are only allowed to attend class if they bring their own water, and there is a shortage of it in the island. One single 24-pack of water guarantees one kid can go to school and have a bit of normality back into their life for an entire week. If you have extra packs, or can donate to allow us to buy more, please do - visit @bahamasreliefcruise to learn more and get involved 💧
This is Bercel, standing in front of what’s left of his house in the High Rock Community, on the East side of the Grand Bahama island. . Bercel evacuated the East side before Dorian hit and sheltered in his daughter house in Freeport. His brother, sister in law, nephew and cousin didn’t. They’re still missing, as other 1,300 Grand Bahamians. . The time I spent documenting Dorian’s aftermath in the Bahamas was filled with stories like these, told with braveness and grace by amazing, kind hearted people like Bercel. I know we tend to get numb about human suffering, but I’m not here to talk about statistics, I’m here to talk about people. Here I am, telling you the story of one person, who happened to become my friend and who needs a helping hand to rebuild his life. . He is one of many. And we can help. Each and every single one of us can help somehow. Share, spread awareness, volunteer or host a family. women, I thought, women are magic ✨
As a photographer, I chose to work on an one on one setting with my clients. That means no assistants, no hair & make-up team, no stylist on set. That’s allows me to create the intimate and effortless environment I want to show in my photography. That being said, the first hour of the photoshoot with a new client can be daunting - both for me and the client. This was the third click on my first photoshoot with Chenille, and at that moment I knew we were about to create some serious magic together 🔮🙏🏼
one of my favorite photoshoots this year, at the Garden Of Four Arts in Palm Beach 🍃🔥(which I won’t be tagging since we were asked to leave, but didn’t 😂)
