It doesn't have to be fancy. I'm a big believer in eating what you enjoy and using what you have on hand. I love my spicy food, I love it when leftovers get finished and I love my greens! So this is what ended up being my meal. 2 handfuls of spinach, cooked with leftover chickpea curry, veggie curry and topped with an egg with a little chutney and zucchini on the side. You don't have to go out and buy all the things. Be a little creative with what you have:) What are some fun things you whip up when you get creative? #thefitnestfood

Promises were made by a desperate mom who wanted her kids to go to bed early, which resulted in some super early (6:30am to be exact) tennis play 🎾.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Me (yelling)- just go to bed already😠.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Kids- if we go to bed and wake up early and brush, and get everything ready, and have our bags at the door, and get breakfast....can we go play tennis before school?.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Me- sure...and no fighting.⁣! ⁣⁣ Kid- ok mom! We love you. We'll see you nice and early tomorrow morning 😁.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Me- yeah sure whatever.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The next morning at 6am I hear knocking on my bedroom door. All smiles and tennis rackets in hand! 😳. Swipe ⏩ to see the rest of the early morning craziness. ⁣⁣

All smiles after our family 3k at the #globalenergyrace this past weekend at Beautiful Ashebridges Bay. There was food, tons of activities, entertainment, beautiful views, so many lovely families oh and did I mention we ran too :) If you're looking for a super family friendly race this was it! Something for everyone and the best part, for every KM run, @dempstersbakery donates 2 slices of bread to those in need. There were over 1600 runners last weekend that's 17,700 slices of bread in just one race alone! Have you done a race before? DO you think it's something your kids would enjoy doing?

If something makes you nervous is that your body telling you to stay away from it? Or... Is it simply a feeling that you’re meant to acknowledge and push through? Nowadays when something makes me nervous, I try to think of it as a challenge. As something that is so important that I want it to go well. If the nerves are there it means you're moving forward. Getting out of that comfort zone. Stirring things up a little. Growing, learning and hopefully getting to a better version of yourself each time you get a little uncomfortable. When I think of all my plans and dreams for my business and my family, I get excited....but I also get hella nervous. Am I crazy, can I dream that big? But the goals and the dreams and the passion is just so strong that I guess getting nervous and little uncomfortable is well worth it. If you try and you fail, at least you've tried. You will learn and do better the next time. But if you simply sit back cause you were afraid and nervous... You'll never know what could have been. I'm rambling I know...but I'm guessing if I'm feeling these thoughts many of you might be as well 🖤

We're all a little under the weather today. The night was spent bed hopping, back rubbing, some medicine dispensing and Surah Reciting. It's definitely going around, whatever this mix of fever, cold, runny nose and cough is 😷. • This morning we took it slow, spent time cuddling & resting. But Mama's got a few meetings so off to Grandma's we go! Grateful for having family around, a hubby that's totally fine dealing with snotty noses, having a job that flexible and kids that are healthy 98% of the time 🖤

So .. This happened today!! I'm so grateful for all the cool & crazy opportunities this job and platform has opened up for me, but I've also realized something important. So blessed to go to great events and meet amazing people. But today I was in a room with women of all backgrounds, shapes, and sizes. I had the chance to meet them, chat with them and get to know them. It reaffirmed my belief that although we may all look different, there's so much more that connects us. And at the end of the day, we all sweat the same way! When I was younger, looking different made me feel like I didn't belong. Now, I love it and embrace it. I am so proud to be there representing in my Hijab, wearing whatever I feel comfortable in, and sweating alongside all these amazing women. Here's to feeling comfortable in your own skin and redefining what strong, healthy and beautiful means to YOU! @sportchek @goodamerican

Somedays you feel in complete balance and other days you can't even stand up straight. I'm not sure about you, but I feel like this at some point in many aspects of my life. Fitness, Nutrition, Kids, Work, Family, Spiritually, Mentally and definitely Financially. Sometimes you feel like you have all your finances in order and things just flow and other times you feel like you're just trying to keep up with all the bills, invoices, receipts, investments, mortgage, taxes etc etc etc. It feels like the list just keeps going on. So just like I do with my fitness and health, I take a deep breath, think of what my goal is and what the firsts few steps are that I can take that will send me in the right direction. Things like drinking water, making sure I move at least 20 minutes a day and getting in my fresh veggies and fruit. Working with @manulife these past few months, the little steps I’ve taken in the right directions are things like automating monthly payments, taking 10 minutes on a Friday to organize my bills, meeting with our financial adviser and accountants a few times a year to make sure we're on track. So it may not always be in balance, but with these little steps in play I feel more at ease and feel a little more stable on my feet! :) @manulife #alittlecandoalot #yourlittlevoiceknows #sponsored 📷@bettinabogar
