Pizza lovers rejoice! Starting from 7th Oct, @pizzahut_sg will be launching a new crust, Light x Airy, available in two new toppings— Alfredo Prawn and Truffle! . Made with a unique dough blend with natural yeast, the new crust provides a light and airy texture with subtle hints of the distinctive flavour of sourdough. . With a lighter and airier texture, the pizzas are artisanal but yet unassuming and handcrafted to perfection with every order. You can be assured on the taste and quality as the pizzas are made to order. . Both pizzas come with a base of alfredo sauce, sprinkled with mozzarella cheese. The Alfredo Prawn is then topped off with marinated prawns, pineapple slices, onions, cherry tomatoes and garnished with parsley. Next I am going to introduce my favorite - The Truffle Shuffle! Topped with cherry tomatoes and features a fresh new topping–a marinated truffle mushroom trio (White Button, Shimeji and Shitake). It is then finished off with fresh rocket leaves, shredded parmesan cheese and a generous drizzle of truffle oil. . Pizza Hut has also opened its first Fast-Casual Dining Concept Store in Singapore at the newly opened Paya Lebar Quarter Mall (PLQ) @payalebarquarter. This newest outlet brings together what Singaporeans have grown to love about Pizza Hut in the last four decades and a specially designed space that creates an ambience for friends and families. Make a date with your loved one to indulge in these new delights at any of their 24 dine-in restaurants islandwide from 07 October 2019.
Ever tasted Atas Mee Pok? Head down to @izyfook and give it a try! Izy Fook is a Mod Singaporean Izakaya, opened by 987FM DJ @soniachew. The restaurant offers “Singaporean hawker favourites” in izakaya-style sharing plates for dinner. . Some of my favorite dishes: ❤️Cereal Soft Shell Prawns in chili aioli. Crispy and succulent! ❤️Satay- Grill to perfection using josper oven to ensure a smoky aroma coating the meat. It is delicious, thick succulent chunks of juicy tender meat. The meat paired very well with special chef’s tangy peanut sauce. ❤️Superior Prawn Mee Pok ($16 small/$24 large), which is a must try! The prawns are fresh and sweet! The texture of the noodles is also on-point, with just the right balance of spring and chew. ❤️ Capellini served with creamy luscious salted egg sauce and topped with a generous serving of shrimp roe. Soaked in truffle and a unique local-inspired dash of coconut cream. ❤️ Steam Clams in Dashi- hearty and delicious. ❤️ Roasted Char Siew- tender and juicy. . Izy Fook is the perfect spot to unwind and chill after a long work day. The bar offers sleek cocktails like the Rodanegroni ($16) with Japanese potato shochu, campari and sweet vermouth, as well as an extensive selection of wine, sake and whiskey, to go with your meal. Izy Fook, 27 Club St, S069413. Tel: 9678-0027. Open daily 11am-2.30pm; 5pm-12am. #izyfook

Are you a fried rice lover❤️? I’m a big fan of fried rice and one of my favorite place to go for fried rice is definitely @dintaifungsg! . This October, Din Tai Fung introduces a new fried rice- XO Fried Rice with Shrimps and Eggs XO虾仁蛋饭 (SGD 15.80) to celebrate winning Singapore’s Best Fried Rice (Restaurant Category) Award, held in conjunction with the launch of Channel 5’s Fried Rice Paradise – The Drama Series.😊 . This new limited-edition fried rice is masterfully prepared using a special blend of XO sauce with scallops and dried shrimps concocted by chefs at Din Tai Fung. For a smoky flavour, chefs grill dried flat fish, and toss the rice with its fragrant pieces along with essential ingredients in a Din Tai Fung fried rice – signature imported pearl rice, eggs, and spring onions. The XO sauce, meanwhile, gives the fried rice depth with a full, fragrant umami flavour, perfectly complementing the succulent shrimps and adding a smooth and shiny finishing touch to the dish. It is one of the best fried rice I have tasted. Available from 1 to 31 October 2019, or while servings last. Exclusively at Paragon, BreadTalk IHQ, Jem, Jewel Changi Airport, Junction 8, Marina Bay Link Mall, Marina Bay Sands, nex, Parkway Parade, Raffles City Shopping Centre, Republic Plaza, Resorts World Sentosa, Suntec City,Tampines Mall, Waterway Point, and Wisma Atria only. #dintaifungsg
Singapore Food Masters by Singapore Press Holding (SPH) is back! I’m truly delighted to be selected again as one of the judges for the 2nd time. This year, the search is on again to honour the food heroes of our Singapore culture and rich culinary history. From today, 27 September till 31 October, you may vote for your favourite local dishes whipped up by Singapore's passionate hawkers and culinary chefs. A total of 120 stalls and restaurants (categorised by zones in Singapore - North, Central, East and West) are up for voting on www.sgfoodmasters.sg (link in my bio) and 12 lucky voters will stand to win $100 shopping vouchers each if the food stalls are selected as finalists in the contest. Votes have to be casted before 11.59pm on 31 Oct. So hurry cast your vote today! The top ten dishes from each zone will then move on to the finals where the judges, comprising food writers and influencers (including myself), will choose the top 3 dishes from each zone. The top three finalists will then be crowned based on the following criteria - taste, service, cleanliness, value for money and healthier choice. For this upcoming edition of Singapore Food Masters, some of the eateries which are joining us for the first time include Flying Wok, Tamoya Udon, Olden Street Bak Kut Teh, FLAGWHITE and Jiak Modern Tzechar. Peace Japanese Cuisine is also back for the third time, after clinching the title of Top 3 of the West Zone in 2018. The stalls and restaurants will be featured in The New Paper and Tabla! on 27 September 2019, Lianhe Zaobao on 28 September 2019, The Sunday Times on 29 September 2019, and U-Weekly on 4 October 2019.
