It’s an amazing feeling to be bringing life into this world with the woman you adore and care for...we used to wonder what this part of our lives would look like and so far it’s lived up to all of that then some. We can’t wait to raise you in a home where you see love and feel it everyday. Little Webber loading.

Black Love on this Black ass Day 🔴⚫️🟢

To be honest I had no intention of going to a protest when I saw the video of George Floyd not because I didn’t see a purpose in protests and rioting but because I’m tired of having to go to protests to claim that my life matters. My first protest was in 2012 and every summer after that was another I would have to go to just making this claim. The first hour and a half I didn’t have the energy to even chant I was just tired of having to even do this. I say all of that to say it’s understandable to feel defeated right now but Black people we’re needed in whatever way possible, whether that’s being in the street protesting or supporting black business. White people I have nothing to offer to you right now but your actions and/or inaction decide what side of history you’ll be on.

This was honestly one of my favorite birthdays. I was cool with doing nothing but I’m grateful for everyone that made it special in any way they could whether it was a text, pulling up on me, my students and teachers sending videos, my carrot cake or whatever other gesture it was definitely appreciated. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
