"To all my mamas out there: There are days where you don’t accomplish everything on your to-do list. There are days where absolutely nothing gets done. There are days where you can’t seem to calm your baby down. There are days where you feel like you can’t seem to get anything right. There are days where your schedule doesn’t go as planned. There are days where your baby decides that he/she wants to be held all day. There are days where you feel overwhelmed with the many responsibilities in your life; being a mama, managing your household, working, etc. If you are having one of those days, know that: •You are doing an amazing job •You are doing enough •You are needed •Your are loved •You will get through this •Tomorrow will be a better day •You are exactly the mama that your baby need." 💜 #wtebabies 📸💬: @autumnchristiana
Most parents of young children work, making childcare essential. But child care is so expensive that in 33 states, it costs more than in-state tuition at a four-year public college — and unlike college, families don’t have 18 years to plan for how to pay for it. How do we make child care more affordable for all? It starts by voting for those who prioritize family-friendly policies, like affordable child care. In other words, vote for those who vote for you. "October is #PregnancyAndInfantLossAwarenessMonth - as if we need a month to help us remember, we don’t. But I’m thankful it gives us an opportunity to see that we aren’t alone. If you are a part of this statistic, I’m so sorry that you know this pain. This is something I don’t speak on often, but if my story reaches one hurting mama then it’s worth it to me. Today, I don’t take holding my baby for granted. I didn’t know I would be here, and I know how lucky I am. We still miss our angel babies, we still think about them and always will. Saying goodbye to someone you never met but love so much is hard to navigate, so many do it silently - we all deal with this pain differently. If you are struggling alone please know that you aren’t alone. It’s the crappiest club to be a part of but we are here. Not knowing why it’s hard for you to be happy for someone else’s birth announcement is okay. Wanting to avoid those “special” dates on the calendar is okay. Not wanting to talk about it is okay. Talking about it often is okay. People won’t understand, they’ll ask questions, the hardest questions to answer as if you know what to say. You don’t have to say anything, and that’s okay. You are doing your very best and you’re story is not over, hang in there mama 💛" Thank you so much for sharing your story, @elisabethjoy__. "Celebrating #hispanicheritagemonth with my children means sharing some of our favorites growing up. El Chavo del Ocho is a classic! Seriously, hearing them laugh out loud when we watch the show is priceless. Raising my children bilingual is not only teaching a language, it means teaching them love and appreciation for where half of their heart is from." 💜 #HispanicHeritageMonth #wtebabies 📸: @vivakidslubbock
