It’s been a while since I made a cake. This makes a small double layered 6 inch cake Whisk together in a bowl: 270ml oat milk 70ml oil 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 tbsp golden syrup Then add in: 270g self raising flour 150g sugar Mix. Pour into 2 round tins. Then bake at 180 degrees C for 20mins (or until done)
After some adventures in the Korean supermarket last week, I bought too many things to experiment with. First up - bibimbap! This probably isn’t very authentic. But was all I could manage with the vegetables I had to hand. This is pretty much all I ate when I was in Korea a few years ago! This bowl has - crispy tofu (cooked in sweet soy sauce and gochujang chilli paste). Carrots in sesame oil, maple-roasted squash, edamame, green beans, cucumber, daikon and short grain brown rice. Sauce - gochujang mixed with maple syrup and soy sauce. Then I tried making kimchi (watch my stories to see how that went!).
Eating all that traditional food in Helsinki 🙄 this ramen was awesome though - I’ve only had ramen once before (in a train station in Tokyo - the only place in japan which seemed to do vegan 🤯 ) so I don’t have a whole lot of experience to compare to!
