I can’t tell you how many times my day has been hijacked by an emergency—I use the term “emergency” loosely—that forces me to shift, postpone, deviate, and accommodate something unforeseen. I have come to expect the unexpected (I mean, I have three kids), but I still find myself feeling put off when something or someone throws a wrench in my schedule. That’s when I remind myself that the best opportunity for personal growth depends on how we treat interruption. Douglas Conant, the former Campbell Soup CEO, said that in his 35 years of leadership experience, he’s learned that “thousands of little interruptions aren’t keeping you from work, they are the work.” Each opportunity is a chance to infuse someone else’s day with meaning, he says. He calls them “touchpoints” and explains that every single interaction is rife with the potential to become the high point or the low point in someone’s day. Every interruption offers an opportunity to lead impactfully, to set expectations, to bring clarity to an issue, or to infuse a problem with energy and insight. Just know...you have to know how to balance what must be done with what might come up. What will be your interruptions today? 😉
I have always had BIG DREAMS! From where I grew up in a small town in upstate NY to now being featured on @imdb I have learned a lot about leadership and business! So grateful! 🙏🏻 Anything is possible! THE DREAM IS MANIFESTING and the Law of Attraction works! Here is what I learned through my personal growth journey... Obstacles can’t stop you. Problems can’t stop you...Only you can stop you‼️💯 The only thing that stands between you and the dreams that are in your heart is you. ❤️ You have everything you need inside of you to reach your goals and dreams if you don’t let yourself get in the way. Stay humble, work hard, persevere, fight, love others, be selfless, and most of all never let the fear of failure stop you from pursuing all that is in your heart! Dream big! Nothing can stop you but you! . . . . #dream #fight #beyonddriven #pursue #focus #workhard #believe #youvsyou #fighthard #toddcahill #imbd
One of the hardest things in life is to forgive someone who isn't sorry...Forgive anyway! We’ve all been through hurt and pain that has been caused by others. It’s so hard to forgive someone when they act like they’ve done nothing wrong but it’s not an excuse for you to not forgive. Life becomes easier when you learn to accept that apology you never got. Forgiveness doesn’t excuse their behavior. It prevents their behavior from destroying your heart. Forgiveness sets you free. You can’t control what another person says or does, the only person you can control is yourself. Don’t let other people’s ignorance become your burden. Holding a grudge doesn’t make you strong. It makes you bitter. Forgive, then move on. . . . . #wisdom #forgive #beyonddriven #truth #lovewins
Nothing can’t stop me and my heart! I give this life 💯🎯 always! #fridaynightdatenight with my goals! Let’s Go!!
We spend a lot of time trying to prioritize our life. We make decisions everyday that either move us closer to being our best or away from it. We can simply ask ourselves the question “does this move me closer to God?” If we lived our daily lives with this mindset we would be closer to God than we’ve ever been before. We would be living in his purpose more than ever as well. I’m not even close to having this perfected but it hit me hard when I read that quote, and I am challenged by it. Like you, I can get caught up in business or relationships trying to do things my own way but if any of us could live and make decisions to only do things that move us closer to Jesus then I know we would be more fulfilled. We would love those around us better, and we would live in such a way that God could bless us beyond our wildest dreams.
Those with the biggest mouths typically have the smallest lives‼️ The people that hate on you the most are typically people that aren't even in the game. 🤔 It's easy to yell when you're in the stands watching but it’s completely different to be playing the game. 😆 It seems that the people that know the least about you have the most to say. 🤣 Don't let your ears hear what you didn't see, and don't let your mouth say what your heart doesn't feel! 💯 Remember that great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events and small minds discuss people. 😀 Don't let negative or small minded people stop or distract you from doing what is right and continuing your journey to a successful life. . . . . #beyonddriven #success #leadership #inspiration #truth #wintheheadgame #youvsyou #toddcahill
Thank YOU @apnews for this amazing article about my journey and also what we are doing with @insideoutinstitute ‼️ Being featured in this high level platform is a huge honor for me! Doubting yourself is natural. Being afraid is normal. But letting the fear stop you, that’s a choice. Doubting yourself, being scared, and constantly questioning yourself in your mind is completely normal. I doubt myself all the time. There are times where I question everything and wonder if what I’m doing even matters in this world. Heck, there are times that I just contemplate quitting BUT those things are never going to happen. Why? Because although fear is real and we all deal with it we don’t have to give into it. We have a choice daily. We have to decide that we’ll let nothing stop us. Whenever you get those feelings, whenever you feel afraid and you are tempted to let fear into your mind just remember, it’s a choice! Fear is the False Evidence Appearing Real! Don’t buy into it! The strongest factor for success is self-esteem. Believing you can do it, believing you deserve it, believing you will get it! . . . . #mindset #beyonddriven #nofear #believe #fight #grit #youvsyou
Until God within you becomes enough for you, nothing else will ever be enough... In chasing your dreams or your ambitions the one thing that will leave you empty is that if you forget who owns it all to begin with... When you take Christ out of the equation and you put your trust into yourself or others for fulfillment or success then all of the sudden you won’t feel fulfilled anymore... You see, you may experience success in your bank account or maybe in the clothes you wear or the car you drive but there will still be a void left inside of you. When you follow Christ and you truly put your trust in him then you will always feel fulfilled inside even if you’re flat broke and have nothing... Being fulfilled in life is not about “success” the way the world views it. It’s about peace and harmony in your soul... When you have that right then no matter the level of “success” you ever have on this earth you will always have a healthy soul. And that’s what matters... Let him be enough for you! Everything else will fall into place! . . . . #truth #soul #fulfilled #trust #beyonddriven #love
On #worldmentalhealthday, I’d be remiss to not include Eckhart Tolle’s ultrafamous book The Power of Now as part of this conversation about mental health... It became and continues to be a critical factor in the shift of our cultural mindset to focus on the present. In the book, he argues that life is just a series of present moments and believes that every minute you spend worrying about the future or regretting the past is a minute lost, because really all you have to live in is the present, the now. What if you stopped thinking about something that you didn’t do— your inevitable regrets, the shoulda woulda coulda stuff? The past is gone. And what if you deliberately didn’t think about all you’re going to do tomorrow—what you’re going to eat, wear, and accomplish? The future isn’t here yet, it doesn’t exist. What if you truly started to believe that if you’re not living in the now, you’re not really living? Let’s all count to 10 together and breathe. I have been there and in the dark rabbit hole of depression. I have to remind myself everyday day that I have purpose and meaning. I know what it is like to doubt that and even go to the edge and believe temporarily that my life doesn’t have any meaning. Well it does and so does yours! God has a perfect plan for your life and you have purpose! Never ever think you don’t! Follow that plan by asking for help!
