Coated in lashings of garlic yogurt sauce and piled with Palestinian spiced mince, the 'Hey Macarena!' at @khamsacafenewtown is a tangy and smooth riff on a Southern comfort dish. Light enough to be an acceptable weekend brekkie, and packing enough garlic to combat what ails you, this vegan dish cracked the list of the best things we tasted this week 🍴😋 Head to the link in bio to see more.

One person’s trash is another’s treasure, right? That’s the case for the ingeniously inventive artists celebrated by @thebower. After a spell at the Parramatta outpost, the second annual Art from Trash exhibition, promoting creative sustainability, has moved into Redfern’s @107projectsinc. Check out more than 70 artworks from 30 creative brains, crafted from the sort of everyday junk piling up in landfill. Head to the link in bio to find out more. 🖼️: Nichola Bryan, 'Sing Maggie 2'

There's a new pasta factory in the CBD and it's making all our carb-filled dreams come true. They say you can’t have things fast, good and cheap, but those people haven’t tried the @ciaofabbrica lasagne. You get seven tender sheets of pasta layered with a rich beef cheek and cavolo nero ragu, and a restrained hand on the cheese. You also get it almost instantly. For more on this fun new eatery from the team behind @ragazziwinepasta, hit the link in our bio.

In a time where the world feels narrower and we're tempted to lean on the crutches of the familiar, the @sydneyoperahouse's latest edition of the Antidote Festival might be just what we need to shake us out of a somewhat collective cultural stupor. With big names like historian and commentator Jill Lepore, author of Such a Fun Age Kiley Reid and so many more, 2020's festival is set to be a big one. Tickets are on sale now.

After months of being trapped inside, streaming spooky movies at home this Halloween might be the scariest idea of all. What about meeting the assembled Scooby gang from 'Stranger Things' at the drive-in for a synth-laden spooktacular binge of season one of the Netflix hit? Georges River Council is hosting the event down by the water at Donnelly Park, Connells Point, over the freaky weekend with two after dark sessions on Friday October 30, then Halloween night itself. The best part? It's frighteningly free! Head to the link in bio to find out more, and don't let a demogorgon follow you 💀

There's something a little magical about waterfalls. Load up the picnic basket and take a road trip for plunge pools to paddle in, toweringly tall cascades, and falls that'll take you a little hike to reach. We've rounded up some of our favourite waterfalls around Sydney and NSW at the link in our bio.

The Opera House has just dropped a program of events to warm things back up after it was forced to close doors in March. In very welcome good news, we can report that Sydney’s endangered seahorse population is finding new life in ‘seahorse hotels’. A group of baby White's Seahorses are surviving and thriving four months after moving into 'hotels' on the sea bed in Clifton Gardens in Mosman as part of a conservation program. The babies were bred at a special facility at @sealifesydneyaquarium before being tagged and released. Hit the link in bio to find out more. You can also visit the baby seahorse breeding facility in person at the Aquarium 💧
