Grandpa Dave, the sweetest man. You came into our lives and instantly fit right into our family, playing cops and robbers, hide and go seek, and basically anything the kids wanted to do... you were always game. We are blessed to have known you and I’m grateful for all the memories. . . In my past work as a nurse we would help our patients transition to their next phase of life. I truly believe we are energies/souls having a human experience. When we die, our energy continues and lives on. Energy can never be destroyed, it only changes forms. And whatever form we will see you as again, will be the happiest of days. We love you.

I have discussed the benefits of staying hydrated before but lets chat about water ON your skin! The temperature of the water you use on your skin matters. Hot water can cause a heightened level of skin sensitivity after cleansing. What’s worse, extra hot water can also dry out your skin, stripping it of necessary natural oils. This can be especially unpleasant if you already have dry skin. It can also be less than desirable for those with oily skin. If you have oily skin, and you use hot water, your skin could respond to having its natural oils stripped by creating even more oil—leaving you looking excessively shiny as a result. What can excessively cold water do to your skin? When you use cold water on your skin it can act like an astringent and may cause your skin to retract temporarily, meaning smaller looking pores...but that doesn't last. That being said, you should try to avoid cleansing your skin with cold water and cold water only. More importantly it is not a great cleanser and usually will not remove all impurities from your skin like makeup. It’s OK on occasion, but it isn’t what’s best for your skin all the time. Lukewarm water is best for the skin as it is the gentlest on your skin. Whether for a shower or for post-shower skincare products, using lukewarm water is ideal.Lukewarm water can help ensure that your facial cleanser gets the right amount of cleaning action, removes enough dirt from the surface of your skin, and balances your natural skin oils appropriately. This is the correct temperature for washing your face and showering! Have any questions ? Leave them below!

2020 if full of hilarious memes to help us laugh but behind it are real stressful triggers with everything going on. I give big props to a company like @kineticsand making a product like their zen box for adults. It is always a good time to check in on your mental health whether it be meditating like Willow (we have been doing yoga, can you tell?), talking to a specialist or friend, or de-stressing through something like this, we all need to take time for ourselves and decompress. Self care Wednesday! Does your skin need a little love? Have sensitive skin, but also dealing with acne, dryness or maybe another skin condition? #neutrogena_partner I have a cleanser for you! @Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser was dermatologist-developed for sensitive skin. In fact, it’s clinically proven to be gentle on sensitive skin including acne-prone skin, eczema, rosacea and atopic dermatitis. On a call with a J&J scientist, I learned that Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser was formulated with a patented technology to effectively cleanse skin of dirt, excess oil and makeup without breaking or disturbing the skin’s natural moisture barrier. This prevents that dry, tight feeling that we’ve all experienced (and now we know is bad)! The formula is also free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, skin allergens and irritating oils that can irritate sensitive skin. I recommend using this as part of your regular skincare routine twice daily!

1st DAY OF FALL... did you know the first day of fall is determined by the autumnal equinox? Meaning the start of Fall is determined when the day and night are roughly equal in length. The equinox happens when the Sun crosses the celestial equator (an imaginary extension of Earth’s equator line into space) from north to south. After today, the Sun begins to rise later and nightfall comes sooner. . And this my friends means get ready for some laser and peels for your beautiful faces since we have less sun exposure 🤣🤣 what you thought I was going to say pumpkin spice lattes 😜💀💀💀 . . Also remember to still wear your SPF! Less daylight doesn’t necessarily mean less sun exposure or UV damage.

Anyone else stocking up on supplements to take your health to the next level this fall? (Sponsored by @iHerb) @iHerb sent me this specifically curated box of some of their favorite immunity supplements from iHerb Exclusives. Here is what I'm taking to keep my immune system strong and healthy: -California Gold Nutrition French Grape Seed Extract. Grape Seeds are rich in antioxidants like phenolic acids, anthocyanins, and flavonoids. These help protect your cells from damage caused by free radicals. -California Gold Nutrition Choline Silica Complex to help support healthy skin, connective tissue, bones, hair and nails. Compounds such as Choline, Ortho Silicic Acid, and L-Carnitine can help to support the broad spectrum production of collagen throughout the body. Remember your skin is your biggest organ. It is a protective physical barrier, and helps to maintain internal homeostasis as well. We have to take care of it! -California Gold Nutrition Hydration Up Electrolyte Drink is an easy to drink mix that will level up your fluid intake with electrolytes and Vitamins C & E. It is low calorie and has no added sugar, artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners; simply mix into your water or add to a water bottle and shake well. Staying hydrated each day is crucial for many reasons: to regulate body temperature, keep joints lubricated, prevent infections, deliver nutrients to cells, and keep organs functioning properly. -Chewable Vitables Calcium Plus Magnesium For Children helps ensure my daughter stays healthy too! It is important your child has the correct level of magnesium. It is beneficial in helping with sleep, mood, concentration, energy levels, bone and teeth health, the immune system, digestion and absorption of other essential nutrients such as calcium! With shorter days and fall weather ahead, finding the motivation to stay healthy and fit can be difficult. A weakened immune system can pose a greater risk of developing illness or injury. Showered our girl @sarabaxter and her new baby Wilde this past weekend. TRUE STORY: I sourced the pampas grass used for all the decor from fields myself with @jordanmaiava . Then we built this amazing loop arch with @erikamansourdesigns (you can get the arch on amazon, it’s usually used for balloons). Nothing like running around wild fields looking for grass to cut down 🤣 anyone want to know the process of cutting, drying and preserving Pampas grass... holla at ya girl!
