I used to do a lot of direct ab work (e.g. crunches, leg raises, planks etc.), but currently, I do ZERO direct ab work. I personally feel learning how to properly perform the Valsalva maneuver during heavy lifts is one of the best ways to build that tight, shredded midsection. How do you approach your ab training? Sure, having big muscles and being overall bulky is an accomplishment, but having developed and defined muscles while being overall shredded and vascular I find, is far more impressive. What do you guys think? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.
