Let’s say you invested one million dollars in a thoroughbred racehorse. You spend all that money in the hopes that you have bought an asset that will appreciate in value and make you a lot of money over time. How would treat that asset? Well you’d make sure it had the best quality food, it took regular excise, maybe hire it a trainer. Ensure it was training hard but not past breaking point to cause itself an injury and you’d definitely supply it with a comfy stable to make sure it was getting a full and restful nights sleep every night. You certainly wouldn’t feed it a diet of junk food, you wouldn’t buy the cheapest food possible for it and you definitely wouldn’t let it go out drinking every weekend with its mates or even worse let it smoke. You wouldn’t keep it up late at night to then wake it up early the next morning. And you wouldn’t overload it with social media images comparing it to other racehorses. And why would you go to all that bother and spend all that cash? Because you’ve made a solid investment in this animal and above all else when it gets on the starting line you expect it to F**king win. You demand it perform and expect results because you have taken such good care of your investment. Our mental and physical health is our biggest investment and yet we don’t always take care of it. How can yourself expect to perform in work, the gym, your relationships or any other field if you don’t look after your investment? Recently I’ve started to invest a lot more in myself. Making better choices in the quality of my food, in the quality my sleep and in the quality of my down time because I fully expect better of myself. Take care of your racehorse, look after your investment and expect it to win. (FYI: I 100% stole this amazing metaphor from Zig Ziglar).
Egg McGriddles. I was watching a video online a while ago where a guy described how good an egg McGriddle is. Seemingly McDonald’s in Ireland doesn’t serve them (I don’t really ever eat in McDonald’s so I didn’t know) but since seeing that video I’ve been quietly obsessed with the idea of a breakfast sandwich consisting of maple pancakes, sausage, eggs and processed cheese. Grenade carb killa apple rumble flavour. Appearance: 🔹 About average at 60g these have a white chocolate coating a creamy layer, plenty of crispy bits and a soft nought like centre. I also noticed a strong apple smell when I opened it. Texture🔹: Great crunch from all the crispy bits and the centre is soft with only a slight chew. The coating cracks and melts away. Taste🔹: The coating has a nice creaminess the centre is sweet and then you get the apple, it’s a subtle in the background type flavour but it works really well. These is a slight taste of cinnamon but it’s pretty subtle. Macros📊 Calories:236 Fat:10 Carbs:22 (fibre:2.8) Sugar:2.4 Protein:20 This one is pretty unique, they have this awesome soft, crumbly texture and the sweet creamy flavour along with the apple works really well. I don’t think I’ve seen another protein bar on the market create something similar. These taste far better then the macros would suggest. Overall its a really strong flavour. Shame it’s only a limited edition because I would happily eat these all year long. 9/10 Well worth trying. A refreshing change from chocolate flavoured bars.
