📍 The Guardian 📍The best protection anyone can have is courage - Elizabeth Stanton. @fannymuller_model is relentless. She’s a real go getter and all around amazing person. She’s always chasing the perfect shot, pose and doing what it takes to make something special. On this day we had to climb down this huge rock to shoot in this private spot. The rest was a truly memorable set 🥳

No theme, but we just wanted to get out to nature. We had a fun time making some beautiful pics. It was also their first time working together and the duo shots are tops. 📍 The Target 📍 WOW. That was real. This post was Jan last year. Halfway through cancer treatment and about to become a dad. Not knowing what comes next. I set out to learn film and was lucky enough to get that chance. I’ve also been given the chance to grow more into portraits and most importantly to meet so many great people. After you survive something like that every day counts. This year my goal is to focus on production quality and editing. To tell more of a story through each shoot, slow things down and to collaborate more with other creatives. 📍 The Feel 📍 Something different. This was meant to go up in mid-Jan. I’m only a few months behind 😅 I’m changing the Iconell logo. I never really clicked with just the tree. The oak was meant to represent growth, strength and stability, but it lost the photography vibe. It took me ages to make this happen, but I’m thinking the new logo is here to stay. 📍The Delay 📍 AND finally my Top Nine of 2019 🎉 So sorry all. I’m back now. Long story short, I was offered my dream job at the end of last year. The interview process was brutal and I ended up flying overseas for training. It’s been non-stop work and family life since. Taking some time off from all the pressure of posting felt great for the last while too. I needed the break after a long year. Too long though. I lost a few hundred followers along the way and feel out of touch on Insta. Time to bring that all back now and get posting again. 🔥 The Coast 🔥 Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire @fannymuller_model was down for a quick visit. After about two years since our last shoot we decided to check out a beach down south. With no one around, we found a perfect spot to explore and shoot the sunset. So what did you think of this Polaroid three set?

🔥 The Sea 🔥The power of imagination makes us infinite - @saskiamuse and I finally got together for a shoot after a few years of almosts. She had some ideas on cool locations and we ended up driving several hours just to make it here. There’s also been lots of fires around Sydney, so it gave this shoot a smokey haze. It was my first go shooting with a 1970’s Polaroid #sx70. Such a great cam and awesome model!

🖤 Repost 🔥 The Chancer 🔥 Luck is born at the intersection of prep and opportunity - @anneduffy_model is such a natural. We circled around Sydney CBD and found a bunch of tucked away little gem spots. By the end of the day we were just chasing light. I’m also testing out more of the Insta carousel feature. I’m now using Square Fit to bring the carousel together. These were all polaroid shots taken on a Fuji Instax Mini 90 #instaxmini90 🎉

🔥 The Seer 🔥 What is coming is better than what has gone - Tell me what do you have in store for 2020? I’m looking to work on my lighting skills, sketch out and further design my shoots and come up with funkier concepts. @fannymuller_model found this amazing area while we were travelling up a local beach. We had to climb down a few crazy rock faces to get here. The beauty was that no one was around, so we had a blast exploring the surrounds. I shot this contrasty pic with my #plaubelmakina67 using #tmax400 #mediumformat film. This camera is other worldly 🤩

🔥 The Acquaintance 🔥 And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting... - How ominous are those crows sitting on the hill? @fannymuller_model and I found this little nook and shot all day around here. We loved the fact that it looked like melted lava settled in. The sunset was spectacular as well. With all of the fires and subsequent smoke it really turned up the colours 🥳

🔥 The Fallen 🔥 We grow because we struggle, we learn and overcome - This photo means a lot to me. It’s so simple, yet so fundamental. It’s the culmination of lots of research, lots of failings and finally a success with film. @fannymuller_model and I took a few rolls of medium format film out to this beautiful site. We looked around for the coolest spot and started shooting like crazy. I’m so glad I got some of these in focus and used one of my favourite films/cameras too - the #plaubelmakina670 - The look is exactly what I was imagining. So, what do you think?
