How many miles do you need to run for weight loss? Spoiler Alert 📣 YOU DON’T This discussion came up recently when some my newer members mentioned that their old gym told them that they’d get fat at mine because I prioritize weight training over excessive cardio. If you want to get down to actual facts, the ONLY way for you to drop weight is to be in a caloric deficit. So if you ENJOY running as the movement to help you burn more calories, then that’s fine. If you ENJOY lifting weights to build muscle and burn calories, that’s fine, too! It could be barre, yoga, HIIT, booty camps, bands, power walking... it doesNT truly matter HOW you get there, as long as you’re burning more you’re taking in. Find what style of activity works for your lifestyle and sanity, what makes you excited to exercise instead of dreading it, what you can maintain consistently for months + years. I have 50+ year old members with bloodwork results showing that they’re the healthiest they’ve ever been in their whole lives. I have pre-teens taking our classes to excel more at their other sports. I have females with new muscles that’s giving them the confidence to rock their shorts and I have first responders bettering themselves to save you. Break out of the notion that endless miles of cardio is the only way to lose a quick few pounds and that that result is the answer to everything 💪🏼☕️

I want tequila little time with you 🧂 10/10 recommend the concert drive in experience if one comes up near you... and if it doesn’t - Road Trip like we did! Cars out spread apart, you’re given an additional parking space for your tailgate (tables, cornhole, snow angels), allowed to bring your own food and drinks, you’re not smushed elbow to elbow with strangers and you don’t even have to wear a mask. I was happily perched cris cross applesauce on the TOP of the truck until was reclining with the coolers in the bed of it and we made friends with the locals parked all around us. Definitely a nice change coming out of this year to feeling a sense of normalcy again - idk about y’all but I seriously need some country concerts back in our lives!

It’s all about perception... Instead of sitting here thinking: “Wow it’s ONLY Wednesday” Try telling yourself: “Wow it’s ALREADY Wednesday” & see how much better you’ll feel! I took this cue from @joellesamantha a while ago and I love how it immediately makes me feel more positively about hump days each week 🙌🏼 idk about you guys but I’m pretty stoked about the weekend comin’ up! I’m hitting a my first drive in country concert in jax this weekend with some of my fav people and I’m curious to see how this format works - has anyone tried one yet?! PS since I know I’ll be asked (😂) the sports bra is @bornprimitive x @ascudds collection and you can use code “szpin” to save you!

Spoiler Alert; your favorite fitspos have off days, too I had someone DM me last week asking if I ever have times where I feel unmotivated to train. To be honest, I was surprised it came up but because it did, it made me realize that people still think fitness influencers are superhuman. Don’t forget that most of IG is a giant highlight reel with most exercise accounts posting workouts daily, their tiny portioned meals, their low body fat and six packs. When this is all you’re shown over and over, it’s very easy to feel guilty about not following in their footsteps BUT this isn’t always sustainable. What you don’t see is that they probably bulk filmed some of those “daily” workouts because yes, their bodies need a break, too. What you don’t see is that if they’re starving themselves, their health is declining internally and/or it’s only for a short term OR you’re only seeing the meals they WANT you to see. What you don’t see are the days they need a break, mentally or physically, and quietly sitting off of their phone so they can recharge. Bottom line, you may not always see it posted but yes, EVERYONE has times where they don’t feel motivated to train and that is completely normal. Listen to your body and understand which days you know you can push through and feel better post workout but also understand which days are best completely away from the gym for a full reset. Oh, and if you are following a page constantly making you feel this guilt - do yourself a favor and part ways. Surround yourself with the people that serve you in ways you can relate you in a positive way. And that’s all I have to say about that ☕️

How in the world do I have a ONE year old?! I am in shock at how quickly the last 12 months have passed, I can still vividly remember all the pain of pushing, the sleepless night of nonstop contractions, how HUNGRY I was but how all 23 hours it took to get you out would be so worth it once I got to hold you on the outside. You taught me how to be patient, how to go with the flow and learn everything together. You’ve shown me how much fulfilling life is not on the competition floor and how much more fun cuddling on the couch with Mickey Mouse clubhouse is than hours in the gym. Baby girl, you have changed my life and have filled my heart with so much of a love that I had never imagined I could have. Thank you for being the coolest little person in this whole world and thank you to all of the people who love her as much as I do 🥰

Fun fact - I used to work in corporate advertising for a company I dreamed about through college. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Marketing (and also Hospitality!) in 2013 and I was driven by the common path of going to college to get a full time career with benefits. I applied to this company over and over with no avail until I found someone who knew someone and submitted my resume directly to HR and boom, got the job. I was, and still am, fascinated with the creative and manipulative world of of understanding consumer behavior, the fast pace of agency life, and this was one of THE TOP places in the industry so I was pumped for it all. What I didn’t really understand was, How much I’d hate being confined to a cubicle 8 hours a day How I’d end up listening to talk radio through headphones most of the time because people were discouraged to have normal conversations with eachother How redundant and menial the reports would be that would take up most of my time How I’d go to the bathroom to just stretch my legs every couple hours and then have another supervisor ask mine if I had a bladder problem because I wasn’t at my desk enough... I always felt unfulfilled because I wasn’t able to be creative, be social, be challenged or be in charge of myself. So instead, the gym I was training at said if I got my L1 that they’d start me with a few hours and luckily for me, there was one locally coming up. Before I even got the results, I gave my two weeks notice. I was given 8 hours a week. 8! But I loved what I was doing, learned everything I could, I got my feet wet, I experimented different tactics on everyone, did a lot of homework and it wasn’t long before I was given about half the classes the gym was offering. My journey later took me over to CFW where I started as an assistant coach again but later grew into the head coach and management position that I know proudly hold. I’m allowed to be my own boss, adjust schedules around #momlife, create my own marketing techniques and watch how they unfold, run events to raise money, awareness, or just build community. I’ve always loved the idea of running a small business but never knew what it would be (below)

Peyton decided we should kick off your Friday a smile, so here’s her looking like Winnie the Pooh (photo 2😂) and trying to shove a whole donut vertically in her mouth... Tomorrow is her first birthday party so we have a full day of preparations ahead of us! Of course it’s donut themed btw because she IS the #snackqueen and it’s still blowing my mind that she will be ONE in just 5 days 😭 @nicolegoodephotography
