New Mexico + Central America articles are now live on the SAI blog, including a complete guide to the mighty Palenque ruins 🤩These ended up being my favourite Mayan pyramids (even more so than Chichen Itza, which is a Wonder of the World! 😱). I love how the ruins are framed by dense jungle, it’s not as busy as most tourist destinations and the remoteness gave the entire site an air of mystery ✨ Pictured here: Waterproof and dropproof @lifeproof_europe FRE 😄 #lifeproofFRE #dirtproof #dropproof #showusyourproof #Palenque #Chiapas #Mexico #Mayan #vive_mexico #visitmexico #mexicodesconocidi
A very different kind of weekend trip this time last year 😆🇬🇧 Did you know Oxford is less than an hour by train from London and trains run every 30 mins between 6AM-11PM. Ideal for a day trip or a city break weekender👌🏽🚂 #GWRadventures #gwr #Oxford #UK @lovegreatbritain @gwruk
Top tips for visiting Cathedral Cove 🇳🇿 1. Arrive before 10AM between May-September to get a space at the “Cathedral Cove Lookout Car Park”. There are only about 30 spaces and they fill up fast. If you miss out, you have to drive to Hahei which will add an extra 1-hour to your walk. The entire area surrounding the “Cathedral Cove Lookout Car Park” is a no park zone with hefty fines! It costs $15 for 4-hours to use the car park. If you’re visiting between October - April, unfortunately, you don’t have a choice. They close the car park closest to the cave due to overcrowding - everyone must park in Hahei village. 2. To get the “iconic cave shot” you’ll need a wide angle lens, or you’ll have to take the shot from halfway in the cavern (what I did 👌🏽) 3. There isn’t much shade along the walk or at the beach so bring a hat, sunnies, sunscreen ☀️ 4. Leave enough time in your itinerary to visit Stringray Bay and Gemstone Bay which branch off from the main boardwalk, they are stunning! Is Cathedral Cove on your NZ bucketlist 🤩? #exploringNZ #TravelNZ #RoadtripNZ #NZtravel #BackYourBackyard #PureNZ #PureNewZealand #kiwipicsnz #NewZealand #thecoromandel #CathedralCove #Coromandel #Pinnacles #DiscoverSomethingNewNZ
It’s creeping toward the summer months here in the southern hemisphere and I’m itching for those sunshine beach days! Despite it being a tad too chilly for a swim, we made the most of the gorgeous Coromandel coastline and spent the afternoon at Cathedral Cove. It’s an easy-going 40-minute walk from the car park along the cliff tops of Hahei before you descend to the picturesque cove. On arrival to the beach, you’ll see the first secluded cove, linked to the second by a gigantic cavern. The cathedral-like arch gives the whole area an air of grandeur. The beach is sandy with shady Pohutukawa trees along the foreshore – the perfect place for a picnic and a swim. 📸 Pictured here: @lifeproof_europe WĀKE case crafted from salvaged fishing gear and ocean-based recycled plastic. Like if you love a weekend hike! My calves were definitely feeling the burn after tackling Coromandel’s mighty Pinnacles trail! 🙌🏽 The summit has an incredible 360° vantage point over the National Park and views that stretch out all the way to the ocean on both sides of the peninsula 😍 The trailhead is a 2-hour drive from Auckland and it’ll take approximately 6 hours return. This makes it a doable day trip, but there is so much to see in the Coromandel that I recommend extending your stay and making the most of the region over a full weekend. Remember to bring lots of water, snacks, comfortable shoes and your camera or phone to take lots of snaps! 📸: My dropproof WĀKE iPhone case is available on the @lifeproof_europe Amazon store and €1 from every purchase is donated to one of LifeProof’s water-conscious nonprofit partners! Ever wanted to give surfing a go? Earlier this year I went on a dreamy week-long surf and yoga retreat in Nicaragua that you can now read all about on the SAI blog and on my IG stories. This was well out of my comfort zone (I’m not coordinated to say the least 😂) but it ended up being one of my highlights of Central America. On the off chance I managed to stand up, I 100% wanted to make sure the moment was captured as proof so @jaydenwithnz took our waterproof @lifeproof_europe iPhone cases into the ocean to snap each other in action 😝📸 FRE is available on the @lifeproof_europe Amazon store, link in bio 😄 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Have you tried surfing before 🏄 ? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #Surfing #Nicaragua #lifeproofFRE #waterproof #dropproof #showusyourproof #Dreamsea #dreamseasurfcamp #nicaragua🇳🇮 #nicaraguancigars #nicalife
