Lunch in a bubble, with bubbles 💗
Having one of those days where I just love London so much! 🥰 Where in the world would you most LOVE to live?? Apart from London, my choices would be Tokyo, Lisbon, and Bogotá ❤️
6 years after cancelling our first trip to Stratford Upon Avon, we finally made it ✨ Lots of things were shut here because of timing / COVID, but here is my list of things to do which should give you a few ideas for your own trip! - Dinner boat cruise: I loveeee eating anywhere that’s a bit unusual, so this was right up my street. We ate on @countess_of_evesham - Visit Anne Hathaways cottage (check timings, it was closed when we were here!) - Have afternoon tea! We had ours at Hathaway Tea Rooms and it was fab. - Visit Shakespeare’s birthplace, and take a photo with his statue - Visit the butterfly sanctuary - Ride the big wheel for a stunning view of the city ❤️ Dont go on a windy day if you’re afraid of heights - swipe for my reaction 😂 - Take a daytime boat trip along the River Avon. - Stroll through the town, and take in the beautiful buildings while the streets are a little emptier. Sunset is a fab time to wander around, the light is great - Do a ghost walk! I tried to book this but it was closed, but do keep an eye out for when they open. Town walks are still running with @stratfordtownwalk at £10 a head for private tours (they can’t do mixed groups bc of Covid). So if you want to learn a bit more about the town, you can call them and book in. - Eat your way around the town. Stop for pastries in little bakery’s, pub grub in beautiful Tudor pubs, pasta in cosy Italians, or even Thai street food if you feel like something a bit different. There are so many places to eat, but prices are not cheap and social distancing means that things can get booked up. plan ahead and decide where you want to eat before you to! Some tips & advice: I found it a little tricky to get nice veggie food here, each place had veggie food and vegan too, but maybe one option which was often a veggie burger. If you don’t eat meat, look up menus ahead of time. It is expensive to eat & drink in Stratford, try using @opentableuk to find cheaper meals in restaurants! @spabreaks has some excellent deals in spa hotels which include meals, spa treatments and afternoon tea! It might work out cheaper than booking separately
Homesick for travelling ✨✈️❤️
You make everywhere feel like the perfect place to be ❤️
What’s your idea of the perfect rainy day? ☔️ We’re planning our first UK staycation next week, and Storm Alex has decided to arrive and dump a months worth of rain over the country in just three days 🥴 We had plans for camping, country walks, lots of outdoorsy activities, but now it’s back to the drawing board! I’ve done a little online searching and come up with two options: ✨ Fancy countryside spa hotel, where we spend the entire stay indoors having nice dinners, afternoon tea, getting spa treatments and reading books! Total relaxation in a beautiful setting. ✨ A quaint country cottage in a pretty village, with an open fire where we cosy up inside and take trip to the local village pub for a Sunday roast. With beautiful walks nearby so that we can escape if the rain clears up a little! Which would you choose?!
Yesterday was one of those days you know you’ll remember for a long time ✨ We walked out the door of our flat, and went on an adventure! No plan, no idea where we would stop, just us and google maps ❤️ Adventures are so much closer to home than you think, if you could just walk out your door and not take any public transport - what could you see and do if you had a whole day?! Try it sometime!
All moved in and ready to spend the next few months making the most of our temporary home ❤️ So happy we chose London!
My favourite person to wake up with every day ✨❤️
Now that the world is off limits, I’m finding joy closer to home! ✨ I’ve been taking time out of every day to do something that makes me feel happy & excited about life - meeting with friends, finding cute new places to eat, searching for cool places to go in London, enjoying the sunshine, and eating allll the foods I’ve been missing 🧀❤️ It’s wild how much I associated London with the feelings of being trapped and ‘settled’ - but I feel so free here right now! Turns out it wasn’t London that made me feel trapped, it was the life I had chosen to live here. (Suprisingly, I don’t feel like 9-5 life was for me 😜😜) Adventure and happiness are my goals, and I’m going to go out and find them no matter where I am! ❤️ Tell me what you have been doing to find joy in your days! ❤️❤️❤️
