This is the other side of Greece 🇬🇷 ⛰ the one you don’t usually see! This side includes elements and facts that rarely appear on your “Greece” Google search, such as mountains, cloudy skies, peaks, forests, wild unforgiving environments and fascinating history / mythology which ties all that together and creates beautiful stories ✨ I could talk about my trip to Olympus for days, but I’ll just sum everything up in one word: Epic. With tourism and the travel industry heading into uncharted waters, we are all looking for holiday ideas that include privacy and being close to nature, as much as ever. In my humble opinion, it’s the mountains’ time to shine: significantly less people than in the islands, large open spaces, hotels aren’t as big and crowded as the resorts close to the sea (at least in Greece). Speaking of the Greek mountains, if you’re a fan of both the sea and the mountains, you’ll never be more than 100km away from the sea 🌊 in the coming weeks and months I’ll be traveling around mountains areas in 🇬🇷 so bear with me ♥️ #Olympus#Greece
Η μοναδική «Σπηλιά των Νυμφών», Μελισσάνη στην Κεφαλονιά ♥️ Have you ever seen Lake Melissani so empty? Neither have I 😱 but, oh wait..it was my first time. Never mind, this lake is also called the “Cave of the Nymphs”, as my Kefalonian friend Dionisis @diokaminaris tells us. The legend says that Nymph Melissanthi committed suicide in there because her love for God Panas (the God of caves and forests) was not mutual. How amazing is it when a beautiful place like Melissani also has such a fascinating mythological backstory? Also, notice the haze around the boat ✨ w/ @wu_greece & @kefalonia_island_greece #Greece#Kefalonia
