Smokey sunset a few days ago on a walk with Lauren. This area is only a few miles from the fire, but this was before the smoke had gotten bad. It’s now gray skies and heavily filtered light all day, the smell of smoke greeting you the moment you open the door ••• it hurts my heart. In addition to all of the reckonings 2020 has opened, our earthly body’s illness is at a breaking point...this living, breathing planet that gives us life, cradles us and provides so much beauty and sustenance, and we shit on her. Shame on us. Shame on the people in power who act like helpless observers, shame on companies polluting our systems, shame on us for disrespecting our home.
@nal_media launches today, a new mentorship platform to raise up a new generation of creatives that better represent the diversity of our society.
