This year has proven so much to each of us individually. I for one have come to cherish my time with friends and family and how important it is for my mental health. In light of what is continuing to happen in our world today. I can only do my part and shed light on what needs to change! what will you do? I can’t ever truly understand what is it like to be a black person in this country but I can listen, I can learn and teach love for all mankind regardless of your race color gender, religion sexual preference etc. I am Cape Verdean and proud my, ancestors were African slaves so yes I have always called myself African and I will continue to do so with wether or not you agree. At the end of the day this isn’t about me it’s about the blacks being victimized through unjust acts of violence in result of pure hatred and racism.
