Being present for the final moments of an old friend is a moving experience. Seeing the passing of an institution like Surfer Publications really hits home. The power of print media is special, and for us the legacy of what Powder and Bike accomplished will never be diminished. If you're like us, you'll know that rush of seeing that first issue of the season on the rack can't be replicated by looking at a screen. It's tangible and permanent. Luckily there's other great publications out there.
