Hi foodies! 👋🏻 On Spencer st you'll find a secret piece of heaven. Well not anymore, I'm shouting from the rooftop! Not obvious immediately however if you enter through the beautiful doors of The Grand Hotel, the signs will lead you to an unassuming, yet lavishly furnished tea house. @teahousespencer was my little piece of paradise in a very busy, tram bustling Melbourne. . . 💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝 . . There are 32 deliciously decadent teas to choose from and each one with its own description in the menu, including the health👩⚕️ properties. We chose the Moroccan Mint and Blue Butterfly famous for its blue colour. Note: when you add lemon to Blue Butterfly, the colour changes to purple. Both teas refreshing and delicious. . . 🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁 . . The elegant and delicious middle eastern high tea was heaven. This is also called the Sultan High Tea. The Lebanese savoury pastries were so fresh. I loved the little bit of sweet dried fruit on the zataar. The cakes were a mouthful or two and the perfect amount because by the time you get to the top layer of fresh and dried fruit you are full. Hi foodies! 👋🏻 I had so much fun eating the delicious and messy Korean hotdogs from @chunkytown.au. Would you checkout the cheese pull on the potato and mozzarella hotdog (my fave). 😁❤ Now, you see the granuals on the hotdog? No, not salt, it's sugar! I knoooow! As the lovely server told me. You gotta have sugar! He's right you do! You then have a plethora of sauces to choose from. Many have tomato and mustard however his fave was a pickle mayo and now my fave! 🙋🏼♀️ . . 🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️❤❤❤🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️❤❤❤🙋🏼♀️ . . We also ordered their fruit tea as well as the jam and white chocolate chunky balls. As I've said in my stories, who doesn't love chunky balls? 🤷🏼♀️ Everything made at Chunkytown is fresh and tastes oh so delicious. I'd go back in a heart beat. If you're in Melbourne or visiting Melbourne you gotta get yourself down to Chunkytown. 😁 #OIIGAPPROVED
Hi foodies! 👋🏻 My tastebuds are still recovering after my visit to @davids_cuisine on Russell st. 😂There are three restaurants and I chose the spicy hotpot. Note to self - do more research. 🙄 Now in saying that. I chose the a little spicy. I gotta say, someone must have thought I said a lot spicy! Wow! . . 🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜 . . I have never had hot food this Good! Not only was it hot but it had a layering of different flavours! I could taste the freshness of the coriander and ginger in this soup even though my tongue was on fire. Insane! This is what kept me going in for more! I know everyone is about the contents in a hotpot but I'm all about the broth. If you like spicy and I'm looking at you @adelaidefoodauthority this is a place you have to visit. #OIIGAPPROVED (collab)

There must be a little slice of Texas in Hampton Park because everything is humungous at @sugarbunsbakerycafe without compromising on flavour and I'm all about the flavour! . . 🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨 . . OIIG was lucky enough to be one of the first to enjoy one of their new menu items before it hits the menu after Vic school hols. The MONSTER steak sandwich! I loved it! Flavours were fresh and definitely enough for two! Smart presentation and not too many scrumptious chips! . . Now we get to the colour laden mega shakes. I'm a kid and I gotta have a bubblegum shake. So well done too! Not too rich, I loved this shake! I've had others elsewhere but this was the smartest one I've had. Understanding that there are a lot of filling components the shake itself is not overpoweringly rich. Everything about @sugarbunsbakerycafe is smart, fun and extra. You all know I love me some extra! Hi foodies! 👋🏻Here I am at @therococogroup on Acland st. This place impressed me so much on my first visit. I had to go back and I rarely go back. I don't have time. 🤷🏼♀️ It's safe to say that it will probably be my first stop whenever I arrive in Melbourne. No queues, huge smiles, great atmosphere. It was a Monday night and this huge restaurant was filling up!! If that's not a testament to the food and service, what is? . . 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌 . . My prawns were perfectly pan fried with just a hint of garlic. I could still taste the beautiful seafood without garlic being in the forefront. Oh my my the Italian coleslaw. I would like to pre order a tub to take back to Adelaide! Lastly Mr OIIG had paella, risotto style. All the seafood was cooked perfectly and the squid had this gorgeous smoky sear! When you go to Melbourne, you MUST visit! MELBS foodies, who has been? Once again Rococo you have stunned me. The beginning of a beautiful love affair. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😘 #OIIGAPPROVED
Hi foodies! 👋🏻 OIIG is off to Melbourne today but before we leave I have to show you the brunch I had with Mrs OIIG snr. I'd been meaning to drop past @commissary_rp for quite a while. Finally, I did it! . . ⏳⏳⏳⏳⏳⏳⏳⏳⏳⏳⏳⏳⏳⏳ . . We eventually found a park but that's another story! 🙄 We walked in and for a week day this place was busy!! We were welcomed with a cheery smile. Love that! I ordered the surprise waffles. Basically the chef puts together a chocolate laden waffle with Persian fairy floss. Yes to that. 😁 Mrs OIIG snr ordered a dish with smashed avo and fetta, a delicious beetroot and horseradish smear as well as poachies So, there you go. I've done it. I can now cross Commissary off my list. Next
Hi foodies! 👋🏻 Yesterday Only if it's Good was one of the lucky invited to @zefyr_cafe_ new menu launch. A big thank you to one of the finest PR teams @mercymemarketing. 😘 . . 🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽 . . The new menu starts today!! One dish that stood out was the Thai Beef Salad with tea infused boiled egg. The beef was plentiful and juicy. The tea infused egg was just so delicious and worked so well. . . 🥗🥗🥗🥗🥗🥗🥗🥗🥗🥗🥗🥗🥗🥗 . . Oh yes! There was one item that just blew our mind! 🤯 The breakfast sorbet, a perfect palate cleanser. Nooooo, this is not just your everyday sorbet. (Head to my stories) In walks Molecular Gastronomy, you know, what Heston likes to use in his kitchen? Oversized icey/liquid filled bubbles of lemon and.......we had to guess the other ingredient.😂 Eyes turned to me...the pressure!!!😱😱😱😱 Yes, yes I guessed it correctly and scored a bottle of red. *takes bow* It was watermelon btw. Zefyr Cafe is able to produce these bubbles of delish in any flavour for a function you book in their space. (Seats 40) Big big thank you to the staff who ran around looking after us all, especially to my girl Zoe.❤❤

What? You haven't got one? Use your pantry like I do. 😂 So head over to @ambraliqueurs (Umbra) in Thebarton or your some local Dan Murphys (Googled this last night) and pick up some Limoncello, Blood Orange Liquer, Limoncello Cream and they have many more. . . 🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹 . . Head ove to Ambra (umbra) Liquers Facebook page and check out the events they hold on Fridays where you can try some cocktails and pick up some recipes. Oh and Ambra (Umbra) were #OIIGAPPROVED quite a while ago. 😘😘😘
Hi foodies! 👋🏻 I haven't eaten at a pub in like, forever. So when my friend @mattybobbin, the new head chef of @the_newie_ptade invited me for a meal, I had to go. 🤷🏼♀️ Yep, Only if it's Good covers most food establishments. If the food is Good, I have to tell you about it. To be honest with you, I won't order a schnitty. I order something to test the kitchen. They passed with flying colours. . . 🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩 . . Mr OIIG had the rib eye with a plain gravy. In his words, "I couldn't fault it." He was over on his side of the table in carnivore heaven so I just had to taste. Yep, he was right. Tender and juicy protein perfection. . . 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🦐🦐🦐🦑🦑🦑 . . My tester on the seafood platter was the squid and the scallops. The scallops weren't crumbed, instead had a light sear on both sides and sat on sauteed spinach. I loved that! Plump little morsels of heaven. Now we get to the salt and pepper squid. A good chef takes it for granted that his squid will be perfect but I've had some that have had the texture of car tyres. Matt of course, cooked a perfect squid. Hot knife 🔪 through butter perfection. . . Changes to the menu are coming at the Newmarket Hotel. In the meantime foodies, go and support Matt. You won't regret it! I didn't.
Hi foodies! 👋🏻 Yesterday I was lucky to be invited to @mekkomarket_adl. If you love mushrooms, you have to order the Mushroom Skagen. The mushrooms are cooked in a dill cream and sit on sweet potato rounds. Of course there are the perfectly poached eggs sitting on top, to top it off shaved parmesan. . . 🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄 . . If you're in the mood for a toastie. They call it a sanga but I hate that word so OIIG is calling it a toastie. 😁 It's blueberry, goats cheese and basil. Love this too. So much more than a toastie. . . 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐 . . Then we have every pancake junkies fix. Red Velvet pancakes. The raspberry curd and the white chocolate crumble were the perfect accompaniment. Thank you Mekko Market for a delicious lunch. 😘
