Missing this giant #boba milk tea cake from Taiwan that made my dreams come true. 😔 Boba Milk Tea Cake Taipei, Taiwan
It’s not everyday that I get to say I made a scallion pancake with scallions that we literally harvested ourselves but here it is!! Made with 三星蔥 from Yilan here in Taiwan, (pulled straight from their farms!!), these scallion pancakes are extra fragrant, extra flavorful and just, really satisfying.. because of the special scallions but also maybe because more sweat was involved 😂 Harvesting crops in 30°C weather under the blazing sun is no joke, but!! So worth it! Scallion Pancake (蔥油餅) | Yilan, Taiwan
👋 What do you guys think about these homemade mini matcha cream puffs? 🍵
Did you know that corn is the top crop in China? 👀 Whadoya know. The family I visited in Changchun had row after row planted right there in their backyard, and they're really as useful as they are amaizingly (ha!) photogenic. Corn | Changchun, China 🇨🇳
In the middle of a road trip here, currently caught in a thunderstorm and the car's about to give up on me 😂 This life is no joke. That's why you need giant mugs of mocha with extra chocolatey whipped cream to give you that energy boost. Onwards! Mocha | Qingdao, China
I can't say I've quite seen anything like this before. Gorgeous, isn't it? The vibrant yellow, wth that mouthwatering coating of sweet, sticky syrup slathered on top. A little overly sweet for my taste, but my eyes will gladly feast on this all day 👀 Osmanthus Cake | Xian, China 🇨🇳
Really don't feel like I did this gorgeous dessert justice with this super subpar photo, much blurry, so fail 😭 but check out this matcha dream come true. Those thick, creamy dollops of matcha mascarpone might just be the highlight of my life. Matcha Tiramisu | Beijing, China 🇨🇳
When you're about that dumpling and pork bun life, and you come across these magnificently fluffy bites with a crunchy bottom (heh) and the juiciest interior. Bliss. Pan Fried Pork Buns (生煎包) | Yangzhou, China 🇨🇳
They called this snowflake dumplings, you can see it too right? I would say they were too pretty to eat, but I finished the whole plate anyways, so... 🙄 Pan-fried Dumplings | Shenyang, China 🇨🇳
This picture perfect egg right here, was cooked in a natural hot spring in Changbai mountain, one of the most beautiful places in the country, if you're asking me (Google it, and you'll agree 😗). Can't say this tasted half as good as Japan's signature onsen tamago, but people were literally buying bags of thirty to forty eggs on their way back down... think they got a little too egg-cited, you know what I'm saying? 😂 Hot Spring Egg | Jilin, China 🇨🇳
Sorry Din Tai Fung, but you've got nothing on these soupy little pockets of sunshine. Definitely burnt my tongue on these though, I have terrible self control when it comes to dumplings... Well, anything food related really 🤤 #shameless Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) | Shanghai, China 🇨🇳
So it might not look like much at first glance but this right here, is one of my favorite dessert. Ever. Think super duper soft, silky smooth tofu, a real delicate kind of creamy that disintegrates into pure happiness the moment you put it in your mouth. This one right here was made from scratch. Like... they made this from home grown soy bean kind of fresh. 🙌 Served with thick, gooey, liquid gold (cough, honey). You really can't beat that 🤤🤤🤤 Tofu Pudding (Douhua) | Yunnan, China
