The list of stuff needed to keep a baby healthy and comfortable seems to be endless, similar to the process of breastfeeding. It involves a lot of effort! One of the worst parts is the need to find yourself and somehow feel the same way you did before motherhood. Feminine and sexy? Not only do your breast grow three times as big, but you’re also going to need undergarments with comfort and stretch. So, forget those lacy bras you wore post-pregnancy and motherhood. Also, your newborn is going to need constant easy access. My point is you’re going to want to find the best nursing bra that accommodates your baby’s needs and yours. Luckily, I have a favourite brand that checks off the lists for comfort and easy access, but also provides style and simplicity: @bravadodesigns! My two favourite styles from their collection are their Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra and the Ballet Nursing Bra. Both fit to your shape their latest colour (which might be the best one yet) in Lipstick. The colour oozes a warm Autumn, and, just like its name, I would love it in a lipstick! @bravadodesigns is proud to introduce a true passion project for the brand, their biggest launch of the year! We’ve worked with this incredible company since day one and have admired how much they accommodate and deliver the needs of mothers. Some women may find that even if they are direct nursing, they still need to pump to encourage an increase in their milk supply. Adding pumping to their routine gives moms the freedom to be away from their baby during a typical mealtime and still produce milk for later if they are exclusively breastfeeding. Another positive with feeding on the go is knowing how much your baby is getting without guessing. This is a true relief for moms who underproduce breast milk and worry if their baby is getting enough to eat. Moms need to know that whatever they decide is the right decision for them and their baby. Feeding your baby is a challenge, and what works for one woman might not work for another. We put together a list of tips for feeding on the go and pumping for success! Full article linked in bio ✨ Our muses. @tessvisona & @jessicarsipos both first time mamas wearing @bravadodesigns

77-hour Labour — “Pushing was the hardest thing of all. I had no energy, no strength left, but there was no turning back. The room was full of doctors, nurses, interns—15 people at least. I was pushing for more than an hour when a doctor said they might have to use the vacuum to get the baby out. When you push under epidural, you don’t know how to use your muscles because you don’t feel anything. I got scared and pushed harder. In half an hour, my baby girl was born. I heard her cry. We spent another two days in the hospital. The printed picture on the door of my room read: “Shh, quietly healing”. Nurses were coming in every few hours to check on me, to check on my girl. While I knew that’s how things were supposed to be, it didn’t give me time to heal quietly. I was so tired that I was falling asleep every chance I had.” Full article linked in bio 🤍 Words & Muse. @c.occinella

The Sacred Window of Postpartum & Ayurveda by Daniela Escobar Founder of @soma.shakti — In the sacred space after childbirth, nature offers mothers a window for nourishment. This is a time of deep connection, bonding, and total devotion. During this beautiful, but intensive period, mothers are more vulnerable to becoming depleted, and, if self-care is not prioritised, health and emotional imbalances can manifest. The physiological changes that occur during this crucial period of time need to be addressed with love and appropriate care. Ayurveda’s breadth of knowledge is a powerful tool that can support mothers during this transitional and expansive time. Ayurveda, the holistic science of life, explains that the digestive fire lessens tremendously after childbirth. It then needs to be re-kindled with awareness by eating the proper foods, spices, and herbs. At Soma-shakti, they offer programs that include meals, herbs, and treatments for all mothers post-childbirth in Sydney. You can find essential information on herbs, meals, and the sacred window in the book “Healing Recipes for the Newborn Mother: Nourishing Meals for the First 10 Days After Childbirth” by Daniela Escobar. They also offer handcrafted oils using high-quality ingredients! Read our full review and article linked in bio ✨ Our muse. @tessvisona using Soma-Shakti’s Abhyanga Oil Package for Mother and Baby
