{Project Pantry!} Hi Lovelies! ⁣ ⁣ Let me cut to the chase - anyone else have 3 hot dog buns and half a can of black olives when quarantine started?⁣ ⁣ My husband said it best “Autumn! Felt like we got caught with our pants down when Covid hit!” ⁣ ⁣ 😂😂😂⁣ ⁣ I digress.⁣ ⁣ You can scroll back and see my deliciously sparse / minimal pantry with tons of unused white space that used to spark TONS of joy for me. (Seriously, those cabinets are 23” deep and I used up the first 8” and left the backs empty. 🙈) ⁣ ⁣ I used to shop weekly and use up most everything we purchased and then start again on the following Monday. ⁣ ⁣ But things are different now. Stores are restocked and we have funds to utilize this space to its fullest (ish) potential. ⁣ ⁣ So my husband and I are meeting somewhere in the middle. Between my minimal pantry dreams and his Doomsday Prepper stockpile goals. Bless. ⁣ ⁣ I’m excited to show you guys how we balance things in the future! ⁣ ⁣ Anyone else keeping a little more on hand after the life lesson Covid taught us?

Two posts in one day. Who dis? ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Here’s how we keep Easter simple, intentional, stress-free but full of low maintenance traditions! 🐰💗🐣⁣ ⁣ For as long as I can remember, even pre-minimalism, I never saw the point of Easters full of cheap toys, excess candy and stress! ⁣ ⁣ This is how we do it! ( Anyone else sing that part like the old Montell Jordan song? ... just me? 😬) ⁣ ⁣ 🐰 We keep baskets simple and intentional by gifting our kids FUN summer necessities and a bit of chocolate! Namely, 1 swimsuit, 1 container of bubbles (I also purchase and hide a big bottle of bubbles to refill their smaller bottles!), 1 package of peeps and 1 small, hollow chocolate bunny! ⁣ ⁣ 🐰 We fill Easter eggs with jelly beans and “hide” (basically toss them in the yard because toddlers) them in the yard and tell them the Easter Bunny did it! ⁣ ⁣ 🐰 We serve a normal breakfast on cute Easter plates! Easy Peasy but so cute! ⁣ ⁣ 🐰 We dye Easter eggs! Messy but fun! ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ How do you do Easter? 🐰💗🐣⁣ ⁣ xx- Autumn ⁣ ⁣ * Their baskets are from a local shop that is now closed. Everything in their baskets is from Target! 🤍

Hi Guys! ⁣ ⁣ Here’s my very relevant content for today - once we’re all out of quarantine and able to drive our cars again, let’s keep the car clutter to a minimum, ok? ⁣ ⁣ I’ve gotten tons of messages for this and have always managed to forget until now! ⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣ First things first - We have a hard and fast rule in place called the “Everything Out” rule! If my daughter decided to bring princess high heels and seventeen Barbies with her to pick-up groceries - even though it’s annoying, everything comes out. If we had a snack in the car (because life) everything down to the last straw wrapper comes out. This includes school papers, nap mats, lunch boxes and backpacks. I grew up this way my entire life so it’s not weird to me. 🤍 ⁣ ⁣ 2️⃣ The Car Trash Bin! It’s saved my sanity! My big kids draw a lot on longer car rides and this keeps the trash accumulation to a minimum! Also, I wash it in the machine if something leaks in it. It’s made of backpack-type material. Best $10 I ever spent. Promise. ⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣ The Emergency Basket! While I keep one pack of wipes and hand sanitizer up front by me, the rest of this stuff is in the trunk in this white basket! ⁣ • 1 white sheet (for messes, for picnics, for kids who got muddy at the park) ⁣ • 1change of clothes per child in a plastic bag. I keep them in a plastic bag because that’s a great place to store the soiled clothes they’re changing out of. ⁣ • 1 muslin blanket per toddler. They get cold in the car sometimes and I’m not sweating for anyone so there you go. 👸🏼⁣ • 1 bottle of water per person. We pack their metal water bottles for every car trip, this is just in case we run out. ⁣ • Diapers + Wipes for accidents. They currently only need diapers at night but accidents happen every blue moon. ⁣ • Snacks - I only pack those when I know I’m leaving our small town. 🤍 ⁣ • Welly First Aid Kit ⁣ ⁣ 4️⃣ Travel Potty - Look, I hate public bathrooms and fully get why my toddlers don’t love them either! Lol. ⁣ ⁣ I hope this helps all you mamas out! Any questions? ⁣ ⁣ XXOO- ⁣ Autumn ⁣

GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED 🤍 Anyone else making hodgepodge-style meals during this quarantine? ⁣ ⁣ To be honest, I was a mixture of gangster and gourmet in the kitchen before this virus ever got here. 👸🏼⁣ ⁣ Lunchables and Cheetos one night. ⁣ Crawfish Fettuccine the next. ⁣ ⁣ Brinner one night. ⁣ Pasta-Roni and Hot Wings the next. ⁣ ⁣ Okay maybe that last one wasn’t really an example of opposites. 😜 ⁣ ⁣ Anyway, it’s called “balance”, Karen. 😒⁣ ⁣ I feel like making boxed meals with the word “Roni” on the end is a level up from my microwaved burrito days (yesterday), therefore, by proxy, I’m a domestic goddess.⁣ ⁣ You’re welcome Husband and Baby Humans. 👸🏼⁣ ⁣ In all seriousness, we love you guys so much and we know this has got to be the hardest season in some of your lives. We want to lighten your load and love on you one of the only ways social distancing will allow us. 🤍🤗 We want to gift one follower $150 cash 🤍⁣ ⁣ Comment below with one of your favorite meals you can’t wait to eat once this quarantine is over and a person you’d like to eat it with! 🤍 ⁣ ⁣ This giveaway is in no way affiliated with Instagram or Facebook. I’ll have my husband pick a winner tomorrow evening!🤍⁣ ⁣ XOXO, ⁣ Autumn

As much as becoming a minimalist or living a life of intent seems like the art of only subtracting or staying content with whatever you have forever and ever, it’s also equally about addition with lots of mindfulness and intent. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ All three of those things are equally important on this journey - ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Subtracting the superfluous. ⁣⁣ Contentment. ⁣⁣ Intentionally adding. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Minimalism is SO relative. I say that a lot but it’s true. This picture may look like a pile of clutter to the wanderlust singletons who merely use their home as a landing pad between travels. And the same goes for the Scandi-Modern loving crowd. This may not be your cup of tea, and that’s ok. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We’re on year four of this journey, and while I’ve pulled the trigger on renovation finishes and then again on functional, yet beautiful furniture items, I stalled out entirely when it came time to cultivate the home I wanted for myself and my family those times when we had to be home.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ We spend a lot of time at home being together when we’re not in carpool lines, at school or extracurricular activities. And being that we’re also what you might call “Screen Time Minimalists”, sitting around in a sterile, book-less environment seemed altogether sad and boring. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The day had come and gone where I needed to figure out what truly sparked joy. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Enter coffee table books on subjects we enjoy, good smelling candles, all the fresh flowers, pops of color, different textures, meaningful art, a large bowl of seashells from adventures with a magnifying glass (the kids have LOVED inspecting our “treasure”. An idea from my friend @laurawelchtaylor) and then sea glass beads - a reminder of the fancy shops I wandered with my Mama in Seaside. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ {cont’d in comments}
