We're pro-French Fries for many reasons, here's another: In the Netherlands, renewable diesel provider Neste recycles used cooking oil from our French Fries into fuel. Supply chain partner HAVI uses that fuel to truck products back to McDonald’s restaurants. It's a circle! Recycling our used cooking oil is common practice across many of our markets, so what's exciting here is that we're working to close the loop and create a circular solution for cooking oil.

“You have to step back and realize that it’s wonderful when you find a place that supports and even helps you make life choices – rather than hinders,” says Natasha, McDonald's Director of Global Menu Strategy. Bringing the joy of books to families is so important to us at McDonald’s. That’s why we offer children’s books with our Happy Meals in so many countries around the world. During COVID-19, we’ve made small but powerful changes to the Happy Meal Reader experience; for instance, in Spain, local celebrities, authors and teachers are hosting virtual Happy Meal book readings for families to watch together on social media. The Coffee Club in St. Charles, Missouri is our newest Customer(s) of the Month! For years (yes, years!) these gentlemen have been meeting at McDonald’s a few times a week for breakfast and coffee—a tradition they’ve continued to keep up in our parking lot. Their love of coffee and conversation (and their support for us) has made serving them socially-distanced coffee one the best parts of our day.
