My mind has been a dark place these past few weeks. I allowed myself to go through and feel what I needed to feel. I paused my CrossFit classes for that week because even my most favorite thing to do everyday, I dreaded. I went back on my anxiety meds and I’ve been feeling a bit better. Last week I told myself it’s okay to rest, it’s okay not to be okay but stay strong and live. . . I noticed all my thoughts have been so negative and man it can get exhausting. So what I’m trying to do is to cut my train of thought midway and to think the opposite of what I’m thinking. “ you’re a fail... cut to you’ve come so far and you’ve worked hard for it” It takes a lot of work to try to think the opposite but eventually things will be better. Rest, but never quit. Told myself that today I will stop comparing myself to other people ( easier by not scrolling through social media mindlessly ), that I’m where I need to be in life ( been feeling a bit down and lost about my job closing this year) and to just keep going. Started my morning with meditation and I’m now off to CrossFit! Hope you guys have an amazing week ahead ✨
Let’s talk about Mental Health. . . As you are all aware, I’ve been struggling with anxiety for a while now. Lately though depression has been hitting me harder than my anxiety has. There are days I simply can not get out of bed. . . Working out which I used to love so much and used to be my form of therapy has become such a struggle lately which is telling me something is wrong. For now, I’m trying to focus on my mental health more than my physical. Don’t get me wrong, I still do workout and eat clean but I’m trying my best not to be too hard on myself like if I don’t get to workout that day or eat the best. . . It has been easier for me to open up to strangers online than those close to me. As I don’t want to feel like a burden or feel like my problems are so small compared to others are thoughts that run through my mind constantly. I disappear from social media a few days at a time as my stories I feel can be too “dramatic”. . . I honesty don’t know yet what to do to get better, I just wish we could all be kinder to other people and #Endthestigma on mental health. Today is another day I couldn’t get out of bed to workout but I’m positive that things will get better eventually. Not here for sympathy just wanted to share what I’ve been struggling with lately.
Expectation vs Reality 😂 January 15, 2018. The day I started my fitness journey. The day I made a decision to change my unhealthy habits and way of life. I was really unhappy with the way I looked but more so with the way I felt. I was constantly sick to the point that when I had a cold my body couldn’t heal itself. I was on antibiotics monthly. Walking got exhausting even after a few minutes and most of my clothes could no longer fit. I snapped. . . The best advice I could give you is to change your mindset and to be patient. Look at exercise and eating nutritious food as pleasurable and enjoyable rather than painful and tiresome. Find what works for YOU. Find a workout you look forward to doing ( for me personally it’s CrossFit 🏋️♀️ ), Cook or eat meals that you actually enjoy ( indulge sometimes within your calories for the day), get enough sleep and most importantly stay HYDRATED. ( this is my personal weakness meheheh ) . . According to Doctor google hahaha we should drink about eight 8-oz of water a day! And with my 32-oz @hydroflask.ph, I only need to drink 2 full cups! But I’ve been challenging myself and I’ve been having 4-5 per day 💧 . . Trust and enjoy the journey guys, is it a lot of work? Yes! But is it worth it? Definitely!
Happy 27th noot. It’s that time of the year you can’t call me a “cougar” even if I’m just 3 months older😂 keep shining ✨
Survived the #ClassPass5DayChallenge the other week 🤗 Stepped out of my comfort zone and tried different workouts since I’m usually a creature of habit 🙈 I realized I need to incorporate more cardio not necessarily for weightloss but because it’s my weakness! And I always say to work on your weakness!! . . Workouts I tried this week: . inferno hot Pilates @yogaplusph , boxing at @eliteboxingph , @physique57manila , cycling at @saddlerowph , and cardio hiit at @prettyhugeobstacles all tiring but exciting and NEVER boring! . . Did I mention that booking only takes a minute? So easy!! Our journey to fitness can be fun and convenient, too! I encourage YOU to step out of your comfort zone and to kick-start your own fitness journey by taking on the #ClassPass5DayChallenge. Come on guys! Your journey will be more successful if it’s actually something you enjoy doing, and how will you find out what you enjoy if you don’t step out of your comfort zone right? . . Thank you so much , @classpassph. I wonder what workout I’ll be doing next? 🤔 #ClassPassCrew #ClassPassPH
Nutrition is 🔑 for a successful fitness journey. If you don’t have the time to prep, investing in a quality meal prep service is the way to go. I trust @thesixpackchef as they use quality ingredients and the food actually tastes good!! It actually also fills you up 😋 . . Currently doing Low Carb High Protein and I do add a protein smoothie in case I have an extra workout that day! . Here’s what I’m having today: • grilled steak with sour cream sauce • oriental chicken & vegetable stir fry •huevos rancheros omelet • cauliflower buffalo with blue cheese dip . . I also love that you can customize to your own personal food preference and that all ingredients are listed on the containers so you know exactly what you are putting into your body. Ready to get back on track 💯
